i like this advice.

and i'd love to be able to get outside of my own negative head and just have fun....
but it's not that simple.

it's like telling a person who's been smoking cigarettes for 20 years to just quit smoking...and the person says "ok" and does it no problem. humans can be so knowingly self destructive.....what other animal does this?

Maybe outside isn't your thing. Learn something maybe. Take up the Ukulele. You need some distractions that are at least not worse than what you are doing to yourself now.

Exactly. Finding something that you can enjoy is what counts. It might be an indoor activity or outdoors but it has to be something. Is there something passionate in your life OP? If not, then you best keep exploring.

Dude listen up.  FUCK WHAT YOU SHOULD BE DOING.

You're going to be on this lousy planet for a very few seconds at most. Don't waste it doing everything a bunch of frightened idiots tell you is "right", cause they don't have a clue and they're scared shitless and bored out of their gourds and they won't feel better until you're just like them.

Now get out there and find some fun.:satansmoking:

So now it's out.  Join the club.  It's still up to you. Try one little shit thing at a time and you just might build some momentum.  I did one day and my life changed forever.  Looking back now I often wonder were the courage came from. :satansmoking:
