Profound experience..
    #1421487 - 04/01/03 01:42 PM (14 years, 5 months ago)

Last night I was on a quantity of dxm. I decided I wanted to see just how far I could take the dissassociated feeling. So I turned all the lights out, turned off the music, and curled up into a ball on my bed. I felt like I was almost asleep, but not really. I focused on some background noise for a few moments until it kept getting more and more intense until I 'fell through' and I was sort of floating in my mind.
I can't explain it much better than that. Maybe other people have been there and can help me out here, I am at a loss for words. It was like a complete sense of letting go into a void and curling around the other side forever. It felt like I was gaining conciousness for the first time.
I plan to try to get 'there' again on shrooms this coming week. I don't know if it will work or not. I plan to do the same thing, turn off all stimuli, and meditate on my bed for the entire shroom trip. I feel like there is a lot to be learned from this state of conciousness. I'll try and document it if anyone is interested.

If i could make a suggestion here......instead of curling up in a ball perhaps try laying on your back with your arms at your sides, in my experience this facillitates OBE's

Thanks, I'll try it out. I don't know if you could call it an OBE because I didn't realize I even had a body to begin with. I almost want to write a short book about this whole experience, but I get the feeling that there are people who have already been there and written about it through their own interpretations.

Well man, by all means document it! i've always considered my DXM experiences of the L8 70's/early 80's to be some of the most profound i've experienced on ANY drug......those were in the good ole dayz B4 they starated putting in guffasein(sp?) and whatever else to make you vomit B4 you were able to get the full effect

People do alot of stuff the same, it doesn't mean its not unique. People also have very diffrent ways of describing things. Im sure someone will appreciate it, even if only yourself. In school, we had to write each vocab word 5 times, then in a sentence. I never understood the point of that... Now I doocument everything. When I am programming, I make myself lots of little comments describing what I am doing so I will be able to remember later. Sure as hell, I never need to even read them again, because just writing them helped me remember. Live, Love, Explore.

The "good ole dayz" can still be lived with Robitussin Maximum Strength cough and its generic equivalents. Nothin but DXM. Damn, i think its time to enter the dextroverse again.
