Saying that WWII was people killing each other over stupid shit has to be the most disrespectful things you could say to the people who killed and were killed for a VERY serious reason. If you know anything about WWII you must know its one of the few wars in history that HAD TO BE FOUGHT! If you were ever to open a history book you would find that a guy named hitler and his allies tryed to take over the world and exterminate anyone they didnt see as one of them. people who survived these horrible times should indeed be considered one of the greatest generations for with out there hard work determination toughness and sacrifice we'd certainly be living a very differnt world that i couldnt imagine. this generation made modern america.

I never said the nazi reasons for killing a bunch of people weren't equally stupid. Like i said in my first post, i agree that it had to happen as it did, but i wouldn't respect someone more just because they were a part of it. Overall that time is a great example of human idiocy fueled by nationalism and taken to the extreme. A great learning experience for our race but hardly something to be proud of.

I can respect that opinion. in my mind i agree this yet another time in history when one group of got up there own ass with nationalism and tryed to take over the known world. but i feel it was differnt because of how it was a modern truly world war. and it was the people who said were going to work the hardest and give everything we have to not let someone invade our way of life and the they were great enough to pull it off.

As far as wars go, WWII is a great example of when war is necessary. The bullshit going on right now is inexcusable.
