Pearl Jam
    #4741977 - 10/01/05 06:16 PM (18 years, 5 months ago)

Looks like I am going to a Pearl Jam concert on Monday night in Philadelphia. I have heard some Pearl Jam before, but other then that I don't know much.

It should be a good time....what are your guys thoughts on Pearl Jam?

They had a few okay songs. I liked Nirvana better myself.

Their video for "Do the Evolution" kicked ass.

My thoughts on Pearl Jam hugh they have some pretty crazy loyal fans when they had a concert down here in south FL a couple years back it was sold out and soo many people still wanted in they fucking broke down the front fence and a couple people died in a stampede.

Also Yellow Ledbetter is my favorite song I have heard from them so far.

awesome band, great live,
but i would say it'd be better if you were familiar with their material
try checking out some of their recent live albums (they release a TON)
to get familiar with the songs they favor (there are a few that they always play, and rarities that they throw in...)
i love Pearl Jam and have seen them probably 6 times, but i've taken people who loved the first two albums to a concert, and they were disappointed while I was blown away...
check out the music and you will have a good time,
if you are a musician you will def. appreciate how tight they are...

ya well any concert to me is a good time. that is my main reason for going. We will be partying in the lots. Booze plus live music makes for a kick ass night in my book.

Yeah I feel the same way unless were talking about something like Puddle of Mudd or one of those shitty emo bands or basically anything on the alterantive rock stations these days. I would rather take a bath in hot urine.

Nirvana made some cool music, but I find it hard to respect a guy that killed himself.

Why is that? Its your right as a person to be able to end your own life by your own hands. He was severely drug addicted and depressed since child hood he made a bad decision at a really bad time.

his journals are simply amazing.. only book ive read from front to back completely.. amazing stuff.. and its not even proven that he killed himself and even if he did.. like quantum said, he has the right to do that, its his life.. NIRVANA and Kurt Cobain were simply incredible.

Dude he killed himself I find it really hard to believe that conspiracy bullshit about courtney killing him or having him killed. Thats kind of like believing that Bush manufactured hurricane Katrina to harm black people. He was a junky on that ran away from rehab at the time of his death and everyone one was looking for him/worried about him. He just snapped. He couldn't kick the smack or didn't want to. Its a shame though because he had a daughter that was just born and now her moms a junky also and she is practicaly and orphan. Really sad.

Everyone has fucked up times in life, but if we all go around killing ourselves when the going gets tough, we might well just nuke the whole planet and get it over with.

Cobain didn't put himself on this planet, so why should he have the right to take himself from it?
