they dont erally hurt, i even have scars from when peoples regulators went bad and i got shot at about 500fps (yes, the same speed as a 22 short shot) and i bled.  It stings, but it's not like it's an organ pain or something.  that hurts.

I still want to go.  The pain of getting shot isnt stopping me.

Does wearing multiple layers of clothing help cushin and make getting shot less painful?

yeah, PB is one sport you dont wanna skimp out on getting the proper equipment for when the opponents have their own rigs.

A couple of kids that I played with had these life jackets that were very slim, but didnt hamper movement. They just tossed on jerseys over it.

I can't believe so many people think it's so bad. When me and my "team" would practice we just wore white undershirts. Getting bunkered would sometimes sting, but it was never bad enough to bother me.

True that, it didn't hurt at all.

I did get extremely more pissed when I took my shit, wiped my back and saw all of the blood off of my back.



I left and stopped playing for awhile that day for sake of that guys face.

man, you guys are pansies, it doesn't hurt that bad at all.  I've been nut shot plenty of times even, and it's not that bad.  If you think that's bad, go play ultimate frisbee or something.

I wouldn't go that far -- body no, nuts yes.

Here's a story:

We were playing a game called "Terminator", it was me v.s. 5 people. The rules of the game is I win when I get everybody on the opposing team out, they win if they hit a small target on my chest (anywhere else means I'm still in the game). I went through 2 tanks of air, 3 hoppers of paint on an Alien Independence, had one dude out then I got shot right in the dick head. I put down the gun, sat down and surrendered because it hurt so goddamn bad. It didn't bleed, just hurt like a mother fucker.

Getting shot in the hand is the worst.

I played speedball once and hated it. I like woodsball more. 2-3 years ago I had a tippman 98 pimped out like a sniper with a dot sight.

Everyone I knew that played sold their guns though so I sold mine because I didn't know anyone that played.

nut shots don't bug me :shrug:

2 tanks of air for 3 hoppers is horrid.  I got about 1300 balls off of a 45/45 out of my pm5

I had a decent sized HPA tank for my gun and it lasted like 3-4 hoppers. I forget the exact size though.

I also had a remote trigger though, and that wasted some gas sometimes.

Definitely my favorite sport. I've never been "hurt" like some of you are mentioning. But anytime I've played at a field we had a five feet safety kill rule. Not too much in the way of close quarters combat. But, their speedball field and I use the term speedball loosely as it was more hyperball than speedball given the construction of the bunkers hurt the most. It was way too small especially for the team sizes the field owner would run there.
