Holding it together

I'm starting to get the feeling that a lot of the trouble/dark times along the path are a direct result of trying to "hold it together", as in, trying to make sense of experiences, trying to fit them all in to your current mindset, referring back to them during life, and so on.

Theres no doubt that there can be helpful and illuminating insights into life, through meditation or meditation on weed/psychedelics...but when is one really done? You learn more about life every single day.

Yes! Trying to maintain a wholesome identity, trying to build a decent family, trying to find a soulmate, trying to get the perfect job, trying to become happy...

But, then, what can let go of all this? Can the mind ever do it? Can you stop your thoughts permanently?

But since this is recognized in manifestation, peace itself can pour into the world like a tranquilizer that doesn't suppress anything but nonetheless makes everything "work better", maybe..

On ayahuasca I didn't feel this to be an evolutionary step though, it felt more like a "way out" for "those" who'd had enough, an inside joke for "those" who can see the mechanisms of the dream. The truth is always there, so no need to worry about preserving it in scriptures or holding it alive with traditions. The truth doesn't need to be held together.

I can see how this all boils down to "letting go"... it just does, and this is just happening, without our needing to understand where it's all going :grin:
