I was at this show and it was one of the best Dead type shows that I have seen in a long time! The night before was a shit show, because somebody dosed Bobby's drink. That's not cool, but I would have paid big money to have seen that.

I'm going to MSG on Nov 20th and probably 21st.  Might do more shows, not sure what my finances are gonna be like.  I've seen them a few times this year and they have consistently sounded good.  They were awesome at GOTV.

I tried to get tickets for the first night but people wanted $200 for one ticket. Decided to say fuck it, save my money for the next night. I just drank beer in a park with a friend and listened to the dead there. Heard that bobby was all fucked up and the show sucked. Glad I didn't see that. Case in point





I got into the second night for $150. I figured i saved money from last night and they were really gonna make up for that abysmal performance the night before. I thought it was worth it! Good show. Probably in the top 5 times I've seen them. Highlights for me were Reuben and Cherise, Mississippi Half Step, So Many Roads, Dear Mr. Fantasy > Dark Star > Unbroken Chain > The Other One > The Eleven > Death Don't Have No Mercy > Dark Star > GDTRFB > And We Bid You Goodnight. First set coulda used a little more mustard.

As far as John's voice is concerned. I just want the songs to be sung the way the should be. Weir tries too hard to shatnerize all Jerry's lyrics and Phil sounds good on the songs he wrote but not so much on those Jerry songs... too hoarse.

Hey atleast it ain't the $80-100 dollar tickets of dead tour past, Could always be FAR worse, It is worth in IMHO.

One of my best friends is at tonite's show in Iowa..... Alas, I am not. They're playing at an accoustically amazing venue at my alma mater tonite.... damn I wish I was there.

I just hope the kids don't get too fucked with by the local cops... they've always been harsh on the headies in town just for the show.

Dude they're playing in st. louis tomorrow night. I can't wait.

They played in Ames, Iowa last night and the night before they played in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Both great sets from the lists I saw

A buddy of mine won tickets, so I should be seeing this Saturday's show in Chicago.

This will actually be my first and probably only time seeing anyone from the ol' Dead play live. . . I'm pretty fucking stoked!

I'm not exactly sure to be honest, but I do know one of the sources is Entertainment Weekly. You just give them your email and name and cross your fingers and pray.

He's won something like 6 tickets for these two shows.
