Shroomery Slowing Down?!

Anybody else noticing a dramatic DEcrease in the speed of this website recently?

As is my understanding, the amount of RAM we have just isn't cutting it anymore. This should be fixed by April, but this is probably better suited for the Tech admins to respond to.

the dea cant handle the load or what? well, with all that money ashcroft is giving them they should be able to buy a few more servers.

I noticed too. I have also had problems bringing up the shroomery page. Glad to hear of the upgrades.

Well we average less than a 2 mbit/s connection but we have spikes up in the 8 mbit/s range.

You do mean bits, yes? The only problem w/ hosting a site on cable is that they block port 80 around here. But my cable modem tops out at about 12mbits dl and 4mbits ul.

You can upload at 512 KiloBytes per second? Most people can't get that downstream on their cable modem/dsl.
