Salvia w/ music?

I have been reading a lot about Salvia. Some trip reports that sound really intense. They all seem so say that its like another being put in another dimension. So my question is, would music make the experience more enjoyable? Or would you even acknowledge the music during the effects?

If you smoke the right stuff the right way you won't even consciously know there's music playing for most of the experience, but I can tell you my wildest salvia trip was while some twisted psychedelic music was playing

i agree that shrooms really enjoy music, but salvia didn't seem to like Any sensory input...
lying down in silent candlelight is the best way to experience Salvia, especially the 15X.

Nature sounds usually work pretty good if you can get a good CD. But most music just gets transformed into this loop that will interfere with the journey.

Anything you add to your environment can be drawn into your trip. I was watching From Hell once when I took some salvia. My entire vision was filled with the video, stretching to infinity. The same few seconds of a mutalated body and a few lines of dialog played over and over for what seemed like an eternity. A few seconds after i came down, that part of the movie actually came on (that was freaky). The image of that body never leaves my head now....

in my first salvia experience i had aqueous transmission playing LOUD in the background. music with salvia definately changes the mood of the trip. i felt very euphoric with that music. my second breakthrough, i took about 3 hits out of a waterbong.... and the experience was so intense i didn't even notice the music

Music is definitly a big plus. On Salvia you can listen to ANY kind of music and they will all grant you different kinds of journeys into the unknown. My first Salvia trip was on hardcore and also a tunnel visualiser. Everything went so amazingly fast, it's hard to imagine. Watching the visualiser forces you to go through the tunnel and makes things even more awesome. Music really changes the trip and I know it because when the music stopped I became very easy and slow with everything. As soon as it started I felt my body engaging hyperspeeds again

One of the things that made my salvia trip bad was not planning it at all, and listening to Built to Spill meanwhile.

First of all: Calm down.
Second of all: I didn't dig it up. If you look closely, Apocalypse_1985 did.

Yeah definitely an old thread. I've been stoned and skimming through old posts, only to accidentally reply to something that's very old. It happens.
But music's definitely a cool variable to throw into the mix. Not for every salvia trip, but something to definitely try.
The best experience I ever had was listening to "Forever" by Ben Harper. It was the best salvia experience I've had to date. Nothing's come close yet.

Sorry OMR, I said that too Apocalypse_1985 . I wasn't mad or anything, I just didn't think that his post was all that important for bringing up a 2 year old thread that's been long forgotten.
Anyways since were talking about salvia and music I might as well chime in.
When I had my first breakthrough with salvia I had Santana playing kind of loud which I find can be very calming on intense mushroom trips. Well, when I broke through it was like blasting off this planet. The only problem was that I was tripping so hard but the music almost held me back on the real world if you know what I mean. It was like a huge distraction from trying to let go and have the salvia take me where it was trying too. All in all I think music is great on something like mushrooms but since salvia is just so intense I think it's better not to have something like that holding you back.
Hope this helps

No problem Chris. Can I give you a tip though? To avoid that in the future, in case you don't know about this feature:
At the top right of every post there is Reply Quote Quick Reply.

I agree, I like to limit any possible anchors to reality when trying to breakthrough on salvia. I don't like to have music playing or even have friends in the same room, or it grounds me.

After smoking Salvia, even if music is playing I'm not paying attention to it.
