I'm also in the process of my 1st grow, amazonian BRF cakes from spore. I'm seeing a lot of the type of growth that you indicated with the red arrows, so when someone answers you're question I'll be paying attention. I'm pretty sure that's more solid than cobweb mold, I have 1 out of 4 cakes pinning and fruiting with that growth, and the growth seems to be an extension of the mycelium. I did not however dunk and roll, I'm going to make sure and do that next time. Good luck!

All cakes seem fine.

Discoloration of this kind, often appears, when the cake is misted directly and water droplets build up. Nothing to worry about in my experience.

The cakes began pinning about three days ago, all are showing normal healthy pinheads apart from one cake, which also has a large mutated looking mushroom with a white cap. Any comments about the mutant?

That mutant is the rare Albino Horse Head, the "white buffalo" of shrooms.

Pls. keep us up to date on the progress, especially of that interesting mutant.

On a second look, it may be Snoopy!  I nominated that for a pic of the month, I'm not sure you should sleep alone in a room with it though.

not cobweb, just normal growth, looks good. I don't see the knots, but the pictures aren't great either. It looks like they are going to make it:congrats:
