undocumented workers are the backbone this nation. a week without them would seriously affect us all. they aren't stealing our jobs, they are winning over our jobs by working harder and willing to work for a lower wage. imo, why don't we all work harder and lower our expectations a little? maybe that would make an impact on the numbers of them here.

undocumented workers do pay taxes ie:sales tax, property tax,etc.
any undocumented worker is eligible to receive a tax id card, which allows them to work as independent contractors and pay income taxes to the irs.

the solution is in changing foreign policy and the way we deal with issues in the americas. (the war on drugs probably the number one reason, followed by the neo-liberal agenda of free trade, which steals from the poor and gives to the rich.)

the problem starts with us.

that happened back in the day with GHWB, why issue another amnesty when we
were promised that would be the only one, that it would fix the problem
yet here were are, 20 years later and in the same boat only now instead of
3 million it's 20 million... how well did that fix the problem, think
it'll work to fix it this time?

why not just annex mexico, then we get the big 3 US automakers back as well

Most of the people coming here illegally are single mothers, middle aged fathers, sons trying to support their single mothers. There's literally war going on in their streets. The cartels are running around with RPGs and assault rifles in their home towns, killing their children, friends, family. The leaders and government that tries to help get assassinated. Yah lets kill those people for trying to live a better life. :shrug:

Yeah, the plan is to not do shit about illegal immigration. It's almost as if they're purposely letting this pot boil over until a mexican-american civil war breaks out. And I don't think the timing of the release of Machete is a coincidence.

how many of those TIN numbers have been issued to illegals, by the way,
were you aware that those TIN numbers have been used to get drivers
licenses and bank loans, did you know that many of those loans have gone
unpaid, that led to some added issue with the mortgage and banking
systems... seems like such a brilliant idea

so how many of those numbers have been issued to illegals? 50, maybe 60?

I agree but we also have illegal immigration laws that largely go
unenforced, in fact over the last couple of years tens of thousands of
illegals were released back into the US streets after having committed a
crime in the US, if someone came here legally and committed a rape or
robbery they'd be deported, why not the illegals... oh yeah, because the
US is fucking broke after all the illegals came here and payed all those
taxes so now they cant ship all the illegals back to the border

you mean women trying to have their kids here so they can get benefits
of being a US citizen, as well as able bodied men of all ages, tell me,
would you risk bringing your children across a desert knowing the risk

why arent they fighting back, is the solution to run from the problem?
wasnt it their lax attitudes that brought them to the point that there's
a war in their streets, their inaction is what led to their problem, let
them fix their own fuck ups and stop bringing their war into the US

You know, it used to be that Mexican farm workers would just come to the US to work on the farms and then go back home to Mexico when the season was over.  But ever since border security got tighter, a lot of them have stayed in the US instead, for fear they wouldn't be able to cross again.  We really do need some sort of new Braceros program.

the united states isn't bankrupt cause of the undocumented workers.. i'm no expert but i can assure you that migrants contribute much more than your average joe.

undocumented individuals will most likely not be the ones that can't pay off their american express or their bestbuy credit card. undocumented individuals are not likely the ones that get handed a free pass out of jail.

What I find interesting is that anti-immigrant sentiment does not track actual immigration numbers.  Rather, it tracks the economy.  The worse the economy is, the more people shout and scream about how illegal immigration is out of control, even though illegal immigration has actually dropped dramatically over the past couple years(mostly because they're affected by the bad economy as much as anyone else).

I think servilely punishing the companies that hire the illegal immigrates are the only way.

But then again our current system of tracking should be update or something so you can tell right away before you hire

Really dude? Why didn't Mexicans stop the drug problem? You know why the cartels moved to Mexico in the first place? We started going through Columbia with US military... eventually "won the war in Columbia" and just forced their routes through Mexico. Mexicans used to be shitty weed dealers, now they are probably the biggest importer to the US of coke, heroin, meth, and still shitty mexibrick. Now all of that money goes to fund weapons and training, how the fuck do you think the average citizen is going to stand up to that? This isn't there problem, if our "war on drugs" never existed back in Columbia then neither would mexicartels (at least in their current strength.)

Yah the mother risking taking her children through the desert at some glimmer of hope of the American dream has bad family values. She should leave her young able body son to stay home and get executed for refusing to help a cartel. Then she can pass by his body as it dangles from the bridge close by, with a message that the Zetas run this town and this is what happens if you refuse to work for them. What a dumb bitch, right?

Well the system used/promoted by the Homeland Security office offers no way to detect whether identification presented by an illegal worker is the result of identity theft or not, which logic will tell you encourages identity theft.

So, just make them legal.  Make the immigration process accessible and easy.

Sounds like Mexico's problem.  I'm not saying they don't deserve help, but that doesn't give their citizens a free pass into the U.S. without going through the proper immigration procedure.  The Mexican refugees actively and knowingly ignore the U.S. immigration laws, so fuck them.

I live in a place HIGHLY populated by these people.  They're annoying as fuck.  They're (mostly) not bad people IME but they should still GTFO.
