I disagree... Reality is there regardless of perception. Sometimes we perceive reality accurately, sometimes we perceive it wrongly & sometimes we don't have the ability to perceive it at all (even if we may think we do).  :downswords:

my eyes and ears and so on, don't produce stimulus by themselves.  that i can see something, and someone else can see it, tells me there is something outside both of us.

reality exists independently imo.

This is why I believe that our perception = reality.  There's no way my reality is the same as an x-ray technician at the hospital or as the same as a police officer or the mayor.  Being a Star Wars geek, I'll quote Obiwan: "You'll find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly upon our point of view."

Well true, but also even dreams are made up of pieces of reality that the brain has remembered. What would you dream about if you had never received sensory information before?

It's actually rather interesting to think about, maybe you would dream of infinite possibilities mixed with instinctual memories/behaviors...
