It's only the Australian variety of G.spectabilis that is inactive, not Australian gyms per se. This is because so far we have not found an active G.spectabilis is Australia.

I don't think that these are G.spectabilis however although they do appear to be gyms. Whether these are active, in the absence of further data one can only guess. I think there is a good probability that they are.

Very pretty pattern on those caps. Nice find.
