i thought purple bruising was a good indication of psilocybin? and the bruising occurs straight away and turns quite dark in purple color if squeezed hard.

well, are these safe to try then? if they arent harmful, i guess there isn't any reason not to give it a go, well.. cept the bitter taste =p

What you have is most likely not G.junonius but a new undescribed species of Gymnopilus.
And yes from your description it is active.
Take sporeprint and preserve a dried fruitbody for further work.

This is a gym but not gym jnr.
The bruising characteristics imply activity.

Seen this before - I think you mean Gymnopilus Junonius? Indeed active :mushroom2::mushroom2::mushroom2: But doesn't taste real great. Photos look like them.
