Q on adding water to jars

Ive been looking at my jars and my myc. growth seems to have slowed down a lot, I was thinking of adding water through the innoculation points with a little 91% Isopropyl Alcohol to prevent a contamination. Do you think this is a good idea, will the alcohol hurt the myc.

i wouldnt add water to jars. i dont know but if you mixed it right the water should be cool. did you flip your jars over. sometimes, i hear, that c02 levels gets to high and if you flip the jars the c02 will sink out...

I read about flipping the jars, but they are only between 10-45% colonized, i wasnt sure if that would be too early to flip, i read you should only when you have trouble with like the last 10%, should I flip then and see what happens?

good idea. loosen the lid a tiny bit, and turn them upside down. don't go injecting any poisons in there!

I wouldnt put alcohol into your jars, if you insist on injecting water add a little bit of hydrogen peroxide to the water, just a little. but if growth is slow its most likely less then ideal temperatures or as they said, co2 buildup

My brf/verm jars took a little more than a month to colonize, and they were in an incubator set at 85 degrees. Id wait it out, check in a few days to see if there is growth.
