I am not new to growing or anything, but I need some advice. I'f I threw in some wild bird-seed or ground up wild bird-seed in with the verm and brown rice, would it work? I don't see why not. It would add lots of nutrients. Should I sterilize the birdseed seperately, first? Thank's for any input:)

anytime that you use a whole grain like birdseed, presoaking or steeping reduces the number of contams, from my friends experience. Not doing so seemed to always lead to brown and yellow molds. I assume the mold spores that are not rehydrated and viable could survive a pc.
