Hydro-Pad: Does it work???
    #1264210 -

I am about to invest around $300 bucks in a Hydro-Pad and my question is:
does the damn thing work OR are those guys selling it a bunch of scum looking for an easy killing & I should rather go for a standard ultra-sonic humidifier?

Respect

N.

yes it works. but imho, i'd buy a $10 rubbermaid and humidification for a heck of a lot less. also, if you want to move to anything besides pf tek cakes the pod isn't ideal.

hydro pods are ok if you do cakes.
I've never got to really look at one up close except for the first model of them that was a 5 gal bucket.

I personaly like to case better than cakes. Just because of yeilds and I was taught by a older man who cased.
If you want to use a pod then it should b worth it.
This is one of those questions you can only answer yourself.

Kinda like I want a autoclave some people here said it's not worth it. but 2 me it is.
2 each is own
But hydro pods do work pretty good from the pic i've seen

my first time, i used a pod. after several cakes had had a flush or two (but a couple still had none), i cut the cakes up and cased them in 50/50+. i never looked back. my pod sits empty. no, it isn't for sale. yet.

look in the yellow pages under restaurant supply . you can get those dome lids for around 35$ or less .
i wouldn't waste the money . it's much more fun to build your own setup .

The pod is self automated, yes, but so is an 18 gallon rubbermaid with a cool mist humidifer hooked up to it. Cool mists run $25, the rubbermaid less than $10, cut a hole in the top for light or use plexiglass.. run a plastic hose from the humidifer to the bin and you're all set. This way you can do casings in there, the pod is limited to just cakes.

The pod takes away the fun of growing shrooms.. cakes are not the way to go. Learn how to use rye or birdseed then get some dried out horse shit, pasterize it and spawn it with the birdseed or rye jars... throw those dung spawned casings in the bin I just told you about and you're on your way. It really isn't that hard, any newbie can do it, it just takes trial and error.

I'd suggest growing a round of cakes first in the rubbermaid, then next moving on to Rye or Birdseed, case those.. then try some dung.

The Hydrapod is not worth the $$ in my opinion.
