Most Likely Joining The Marines

Not as a desperate attempt to get my life back together/make some money but I feel as if I could kill people, especially not knowing them(dont judge). I also don't value my life or anyones for that matter so I feel as if I could die doing this.

If  join I'd like to be a sniper or infantryman.

I'm not asking for a yes/no but does anyone have expierence in the military or friends? Any Stories?

If you really feel the way you claim to, you'll have a blast.
Don't go in there, develop a conscience and come out bitching and crying though.

I've been researching for the past two months. It won't be 3 years, until after college, which i when I'll join. So I'm definitely researching it as much as possible, same thing I did with drugs.

The Military can be lots of fun.
Don't expect too much action, especially right away.
You have to put up with lots of shit.

i'm in the same exact boat as you RP, I'm trying to attend OCS and be commissioned as infantry officer, why? Because I'd rather do it than someone else and I think i will be good at it. Time will tell

Only bad thing is I want action. I'd probably die if I actually had to go through as much action as I wanted.

the military is all murder and homosexuality. anyone whos ever experienced internal thought would never even imagine putting themselves under the control of a murderous organization. Good luck when youre 70 and having flashbacks of killing brown men, women, and children under false pretenses.

I spent 4 years in the Navy, actually managed to do my time and get out with an Honorable Discharge...

But....

Do you have any idea how many close calls I had with weed alone?

I probably got piss tested around 50 times, in 4 years of being in....

One time I got random tested 3 days in a row...

The military is a safe-haven for emotionally alienated, borderline types who want straight answers and solutions leading to violence and direct conflict mixed in a system of black and white in order to avoid thinking about the difficulties of actual ethics and human relations.

In other words, a perfect place for you.

Just don't come back here and whine when they fuck you over by giving you nothing of what they promised and sending you back a butt-raped, crippled vet.

There are plenty of smart men and women that act like complete fucking morons and sign up.

What kinda of job is that man? And when you come back all fucked up and missing limbs, not to mention the psychological affects...

I didn't end up missing limbs, but I'm still recommending against it...

The real tragedies are the people that you see literally kill themselves just because they're so lonely, or don't fit in, or just HATE being forced to be away from home for so long....

I literally saw this girl JUMP off the ship when I was in the Navy... It was fucked man... They managed to save her, but I really think she didn't want to be saved... We were in the middle of the f-ing Atlantic man....

I can kill people too buddy, but hey, why? Military hypes up what it gives you anyway. You would make more money as a private contractor, probably kill more without morals, end up famous for getting on the news for merciless murder, get fired and come back with money and maybe a sentence.

Bottom line, just because your live is clearly meaningless (has no value in your own words) doesn't mean you need to go to the effort of pointing the gun at others when you can just stick it in your own damned mouth.
