Indulging

I used to smoke weed daily, trip every week, and use pills to get work done.

I used to be a self indulgent person, but for the most part, tripping wasn't an indulgence. Smoking week was, and pills obviously were. To what extent do you think indulging is good, and when does it go bad?

I hardly even smoke weed anymore, I am doing glass work and it puts me in a better frame of mind than any drug ever did. The less that I masturbate the happier I find I am, the less weed I smoke the less anxiety I seem to have, the less adderall I take the more motivation I have.

Drugs as tools? I agree. Drugs as tools to be used daily? Bullshit. I still love the occasional, but habitual is pointless. It makes anything mundane and boring. It sucks the life out of life. 

Every stress relieving object that a person obtains makes that person more stressed in the long run because they rely on that object to relieve their stress. Life was boring without pot, socializing was more difficult without alcohol, work was more stressful without cigarettes. The tripping unleashed creativity rather than hinder it in the long run though, funny how that works out.

You get my point.

So at what point do you think indulgences are bad? The seven deadly sins essentially.

It depends on how you frame your justification for your vices.

I smoke weed everyday but I don't really try to justify it....I just do it because it's something that I like and if it's not there then it sucks but I don't attribute things in my life to the weed I smoke.

All in all, drugs can be used as tools but habitual use of them is hard to justify....so why even try to? You do what you do right? Unless you don't think what you're doing is you? Lol.
