just so you know... all urinals have the flush handle on the left side, presumably b/c most people are right handed and therefor

I use to wipe up but then I realized that it just smears shit up my crack. If you wipe down then it cuts it off and leaves no dingle berries.

When I piss I hold my pants down with my thumb and grab my meat with me left even though Im right handed.

I dont like to use zippers anymore. Its just as each to pull the front of my pants down.

I'm left handed and I wipe with my left hand.

I got all kinds of wiping techniques too! Front to back, back to front, and the fancy bare hand water splash maneuver.

When I was traveling in India, the culture there holds the left hand as the one to wipe the ass [as do many places in this world] and therefore reserve it for this task and other 'unclean' tasks only. It was a real problem for me, if I would pass someone money or pass the joint with my left hand [which happened often being left handed] could lead to a misunderstanding. Also got weird stares eating with my left hand, at times.

Eventually I got used to it all enough though, and I was sure a pro with the left handed wiping already... so :shrug:

I think it happens because in ancient times, when hygiene was low, this was the method used to keep healthy. One hand literally was cleaner than the other, saved for certain activities to keep it clean. Especially in desert cultures, where both water and leaves are scarce and probably would have been too expensive for the vast majority to waste on shit.

Not sure why the left hand is chosen, but it's gone back for a long time that right hand is good left hand is bad.

well here's a question... who stands up to wipe?  i think most people stay seated but to me that doesn't make sense, i'm not gonna stick my hand down inside the toilet where my hand is in such a confined space.  and contrary to what some will surely say..'if you stand up you will smear poo all over yer crack', i say this;  it's all in the technique, you have to master what i call the 'sumo stance' hence one stands in a squatted like position, therefore, avoiding the smearage.

That's why you lift the sack up. I go in from the front, but I wipe from the back, it's easy. If I went from behind I'd smear shit all over myself.

I thought the left hand thing was a superstition thing but i've been educated.

I'm left handed, use the right. I have different styles depending on the poo,, :lol:.
Some need special attention, the water splash is reserved for special occasions.

I too stand up. More of a sumo position as you put it. And when I go to public restrooms I NEVER sit on toilets. I NEVER EVER have. Its too easy to just hover over it.

This one guy I use to know was taught by his father to wash his ass after every shit. Literally after ever shit he would turn on the tub and wash his crack.
