Would YOU trade your ADDRESS for a SHROOM print???

Hey, I have questions about the spore exchange, and am really curious to hear people's thoughts on the matter.

Does anyone worry about exchanging spores w/a federal agent, local agent, etc.?  It just seems too simple for an officer to get online and set up a trade w/ a community member.  For those of you who trade, is this a worry for you?  How do you safeguard against it if at all?  Do some people out there completely refuse to trade and give too much info. about oneself within the community posts with fear of possible traceable or documented evidence? 

Same question w/ concern to going to trip fests which some people arrange in the Gatherings Forum.  How do you feel comfortable trading addresses, or giving addresses, or even meeting a stranger from this sight when you may be either cultivating illigal shrooms or in possession of them?

Lastly, and I'm sure this is takin the concern to a paranoid level for many, but when you register you are required to give a legit email address.  For the most part that email address is an identifier, thus making everything that you discuss here as a trial of evidence.  If the dea wanted to infultrate this site it seems fair to say that a lot of posters would have reason to look over their back.  Granted, I don't think most worry about this, maybe you can post your thoughts and what you know! : :tongue:

You may get better responses in the Security forum.

I wouldn't worry about things such as spore prints as long as they are legal for microscopic study in your area.

Use common sense when meeting fellow shroomerites.  I've met two shroomerites with no sketchiness involved :smile:

I wouldn't worry about the DEA looking up your email address on here either.  I would only worry if I was posting pics of a LARGE shroom grow with obvious commercial intent.

i done it plenty times and from all over the world,you should kinda know the person your getting it from,that helps

i'm not sure about this by any means, but i think that some of what you put on the bb is considered hearsay, and is not allowable in court. they can't even prove you're typing unless you take pics. but try to use common sense anyway. i'm no lawyer. oh, and chances are (in my little paranoid world) they already have our names and most likely at least our zip codes and Internet providers, and an unenlightened jury would probably convict you if your name and the words "producing hallucinogenic drugs" appeared in the same sentence, god help you if they got any hard evidence.
again, i don't know law, so i might have just dreamt this all up.

Just use a little caution when dealing with people, here or in real life. 

Spores are NOT illegal for microscopic study.  Spores themselves do not contain any psilocybin.  So, the spores are fine to work with.  Its when you start to grow them and the psilocybin is produced within the mushroom, now thats when they become illegal.

Many people here trade alot.  Most have gotten P.O. boxes or private mail boxes to conduct their trades.  Giving someone your home address I would be a little weary. 

If you're looking for a particular print you might want to ask in the "Spore Exchange" forum and only accept offers from people with a certain number of posts.  Ask around too, many people here know one another and they can tell you if they're on the up and up :smile:

Yes very true.....just use common sense.....

But on a side note.....there is interesting things happening at ayahuasca.com forum..... one of the importers of the sacred plants had been busted by the dea....recently a court transcript was posted there(well very little snippets anywho)....in the transcript the dea agent on the case is asked if he is familiar with the board.....and then asked about post numbers.....he seemed pretty well versed with the board(based on what little amount of info is in the transcript..cant really tell for sure i guess)......

may be different from this board.....but ya gotta ask yourself; why do they go after a ayahuasca plant importer? seems odd to me...those type of things you will hardly ever see out on the streets.....but shrooms on the other hand....

just something for you all to chew on ....

I think common sense play's a HUUUUGE factor in trading online, I usualy cancel the deal if the other party is a sketch pad, and doesn't seem hip...

Doing a search of the person's post's always give's you an idea of the type of person they are...

A friend of mine allows me to get my prints shipped to him, and he lives on a street that is nonexistant to anyone but the mailman. Not on any map, too far out in the boonies. You could also get a PO box, but those are registered to your name. I also figured out the other day that you could send with only a zip code, and possibly a state to clear up any errors, ex. 12345-6789. When it gets to the post office, they'll have an address printed on it. I don't think theres any extra charge, but it may just be because many people leave a lot of info off the address.

Goldstein i see what your saying, i can't say I agree with much or see eye to eye with you, but I can see how you feel that way..I mean i'm assuming your american, basicaly because american's tend to have an issue with the whole 'big brother' thing....I'd be like that too if my goverment was totaly crooked rather than slightly bent.

I know that you are interested in the microscopic study of spores.. I've NEVER heard you talk about growing any illegal substance whatsoever.
I used to grow..but not anymore!
