Ok ill update everyone here...
I just asked my "friend" from haiti what he thought about the disaster and he told me he has family there that he can't get ahold of, his eyes watered and I truly felt like shit.

Disasters are nothing new and they are never a good thing. We as a people not only in this country but the whole world need to come

There are a lot of Haitians in New England around the cities. They are not very nice people.

I knew quite a few at an old job; they were just general assholes all around. At another job, they were assholes to people but great folk in general.

In public they're pricks.

I know it's a stereotype or a small sample size in a very specific geographical location, so don't bother calling me out on it.

Hatti and there neighbor dint have a good relation at all.

for example in the all is history this area has been fucked up.

Its where good ole Chester Columbus found on his way to India . He discovered quickly a few things
1 there chiefs wore little bits of gold
2They had no steal or iron tools
3. There demeanor was more laid back
And putting theses and a few other things tougher he came up with this  and I'll quote the man himself "With 50 men we could subjugate them and make them do what we want".... that's how history there started. Well after raping and enslaving/killing all the native people there and to strip it of all its natural recourse they brought in  slaves from Africa , The native people just kept on dying....

fast forward to more the present day Dominican republic Hattie's neighbors were also under a junta. But this one was had a heart of gold. When he wasn't improve roads schools and strongly protecting the environment he was killing Haitians that crossed the border... to escape a not as nice dictator installed by Wilson i think who just raped what was left of the resources and the people blah you story as old as time...

I would drop food on them and medical supplies but only on them not to be disturbed by a corrupt government just remember where your cash is going when you donate

haiti, they came seeking political asylum because which ever proxy in

whe I was driving a cab I worked with a Haitian we called him Bones, one
of the most loyal and decent friends I had, he got shot in a robbery
attempt, was laid up in the hospital for a few weeks with a broken femur
and 2 bullet wounds, he was still the cheeriest person in the world

Perhaps you should share these statistics, specifically for Haiti. I'd also like to see these statistics broken down to include political assassinations, coupe plots, etc, and the economic stats of the perpetrators for any given crime. Oh, an analysis of the social impact of these criminal categories would be most helpful.

I'm kind of joking, I don't expect a serious response. You're basically saying "people with money don't commit crime".  You're seriously naive, my friend, the upper classes are just able to be more subtle.

If people would just take my advice and send the marines and teams of doctors around the world to forceably sterilize the poor, you probably wouldn't be seeing piles of bodies in Haiti.  There will be bigger piles of bodies around the world.  Just wait and see.

The coupes, foreign interventions, etc. we discussed earlier are not orchestrated by street thugs, but by people behind desks and next to pools. A political  assassination has far more impact on the destiny of the country than say, a mugging, and coupes and assassinations constitute "violent crime".  Agreed?
