okay lets taka disaster scenario
    #4612526 -

rignt now alot of the south's national guard troops are working somewhere near capacity, louisana, utah, alabama, mississippi, and texas is housing all of those refugees.

plus we h ave alot of the national army/coast guard/and so on down in the hurricane affected areas. nt to mention that alot of our troops are over seas in iraq and korea.

soooo the resources of the nation are quite stretched, provate non corporate companies that buy surplus fule are starting to limit what customers can buy, and the port of louisana with about 88 ships waiting to enter and un-load cargo are at sea.

so the resources of the nation and the economy are peretty stretched but still holding strong.

What if,

A)
in the 2 months (conservitave estimate) it takes to dry out louisana another hurricane hits the area and-re-floods the area. its not outside the scope of posibliity, florida had 4 last year.

B) the terrorists that like deestroying our conntry see this as an oportunity to create more panic and attack the nation, again...

C) iran (second largest supplier of oil to the U.S.)-tired of the united states and U.N. Sanctions breaks from OPEC and jacks up the price of oil to the us? (not cery likely)

it seems that if we pull a few more resources out of our jenga like society that we could have a major topple.

just theorising here, but hell, if you were a renegade terrorist org, who had a mandate from god to destroy the lives of americans and saw a chance to do it where the ripple efect would be massive... wouldnt you do it???

the country is very vunerable right now, lets hope that others dont see it as a chance to exploit us, and that natural disaster does not strike again.

If any of those things happened, we would be fucked. Unfortunately, there is pretty much nothing we can do to stop any of them from happening.

The most realistic scenario is the terrorist situation, as Iran follows greedy capitalism like us, and the chances of another hurricane hitting the same area are rather small in my opinion.

If the terrorists planned it out, we could be fucked. Their best bet is to go for the oil supply somehow, perhaps bomb refineries or do something to shoot the prices even higher. That'd be a major kick in the balls for the US.

The militia referred to in the federalist papers. All adult males 16-40. Using weaponry that would be available to the average ground soldier. That would be our best defense.

A. This seems the most likely. There is still 1.5 months of hurricane season that we have no fucking control whatsoever over. Plus, there is still no El Nino this season to push them away.

B. If they wanted us dead, we'd all be dead. They are just fucking with us until they are ready. This is more or less payback for histories worth of oppression and essentially the same thing that has been done to them (crusades, mid 1900's Israeli conflict, as two examples)

C. You're right, not very likely. We are still #1 in oil consumption right? or did China finally creep ahead of us? Still though, if not #1, #2. So why would they jack-up the prices knowing George Bush would send in every possible troop there was to complete his (secret) mission to gain oil. We could take all of them out within days, as they could us, and take their oil...but the only reason that hasn't happened IS the U.N. would be down him. Secondly, if they broke the deal with us, they would lose at least 40% [just guessing] of their sales, making their country become even more economically distraught.

As for the last statement quoted, America is bankrupt people. We cannot and will not ride this rollercoaster out much longer. If we're lucky, we'll be dead before America breaks apart. To be honest, I don't want to be here when it happens.
