end of life = war over natural resources (what little we will have left) or coming into contact with a highly intelligent species who deem us unworthy and illogical to exist in this universe.

End of the world = probably nothing, it takes an enormous amount of energy to destroy a planet....Earth will live on while we humans will wither and die.

Or what if another galaxy collided with ours? I'd totally dose like 20g dry of shrooms and take a shit load of acid while looking up at the night sky as we race to our doom.

did you know the andromeda galaxy and our own milky way galaxy are on a collision course? in like a few billion years we'll start colliding! our sun would have swallowed up earth long before that time anyway!

Note to self: build cryostasis tube and get launched towards Pluto, stay frozen for a few billion years then awake as our galaxy collides with Andromeda.  Make sure to have a shit load of drugs on my person before leaving Earth.

Another shitty way to go would be if the Sun just one day decided to give us the finger and peace it.  Planets would just drift off, it'd be freezing cold and we'd all be screwed.

Another cool yet terrifying way to go would be if a new science experiemnt went horrible wrong (and you were the test subject).  You're supposed to be teleported from Earth to the moon in this experiment but somehow you end up getting teleported to outside our galaxy.  So there you are in dark space with a bunch of galaxies off in the distance.  That would be the most beautiful site and a terrifying yet calm death.  If I were tripping at that point I think I'd just have a heart attack from the overwhelming sensation of gazing upon the galaxies.

Global warming and the environmental disaster it creates, results in mass famine. Millions, possibly hundreds of million will die. This level of destruction destabilizes the world leading to a world war type scenario which ends in a nuclear cataclysm. Its likely not all humans will die, but civilisation will be destroyed.

I expect the famine to occur and i think it will be one of the worst thing to have ever happened to humanity. Hopefully it can be avoided and if not hopefully we can avoid war.

edit: Hundreds of millions dieing in the famine is more realistic than billions.
