I am me!  :grin:

During my early teenage years, I had a lot of problems trying to "find myself" and figure out who I truly was.  But after years of searching and lerning and expanding my mind, I feel like I have found my true identity.

I am me; I am happy with the me that I have become, and I don't think the me of today will change in any way in the near future; unlike the me of my teenage years that seemed to change every month or so.

I feel like I have truly found myself.  It takes time and learning and patience, but someday you will be sure to find your true, enduring identity.

I feel like I know what I am here for.  I have goals and plans for the future.  I am happy to just live and to live the way I want to.  I am happy with my identity and my place in life.  And it is an AMAZING feeling!!!  :laugh:

The only thing of which we can be certain is that the future will bring change, and I'm sure that the future will bring change for me and who I am. But I think the person who I am right now will never really change too much, for I really believe that I have found my true identity.

It takes time... And patience... But if you keep an open mind and continue to learn and experience and think and come to decisions on your life, you too will find your identity somewhere inside of you.  It is hiding somewhere deep within you, and it just needs you to find it!

Good luck on the grandest voyage you will ever embark upon... The voyage to find yourself!  May you be filled with Love and Light and Peace and Happiness, and may you find that for which you are searching!

Have faith! :smile:  One day the path beofre you will lay clear, and at the end of the path will be your identity.  Who you are and who you want to be.

I used to kinda know who I was........well, up until one period in my life around 19. I said a few times to my friends that I didn't really know who I was, and they took it the wrong way and I was became very agravated about how nobody understood me. Then I stumbled upon acid, which crushed my beliefs and left me very confused. I was totally lost until I did mushrooms. After shrooms, everything about me and my life felt just perfect and I felt whole.

But who am I you ask? I am Murex. I chose the name Murex ever since my first shroom trip- I think the name fits my soul. Me in a nutshell- I'm a quiet guy who likes to listen to music, compose music, and draw.

Who do i want to be?

I have thought about astrology, and science but with the way the world is going that does not seem a wise choice. I think political activism is in my blood for this life, probably get into something with the environment. I'll spread my personal wisdom and experience along that path.

There are a lot of ways to answer this question but the one I like best was given to me by a friend many years ago. He said:

"How you treat other people is who you are."

If that is the case my second answer would be:

Many dictionary entries give us reason to think that is incorrect.

If a person does one terrible thing (like for instance killing someone), does that mean that he is a murderer? Is that now who he is?

If I think myself to be compassionate, but never really do that many compassionate things, am I really compassionate?

To be honest I haven't reallly made my mind up about this one.

I think we all try to put across an image of ourselves to other people, but does this image really have anything to do with who we are, or is it really more of a concept of who we want to be?

How can one person know another person, if our concept of self is not actually based on anything real?

people dont' see the me that i really am though. and i dont' think i see them as they really are either, i guess only you know who you are.
