Have you tried acid? Of course it's a stimulant.  Just try going to sleep after dosing a few tabs.

I was joking around and making a reference to the thread from a week or two ago,
where some guy was claiming that LSD is more of a stimulant than a hallucinogen or anything else.
No one remembers that/?

I've done acid maybe 100 times before. But I never related it's affects to being stimulant like. Yes it makes you unable to sleep but other than that it is in no way similar to any stimulant I have tried and I have tried MANY stimulants.

I'm actually going to take 2 hits tonight.

Anything you enjoy doing is addictive. Stimulants don't cause physical dependence.

No, most dopamine agonists are addictive because the dopamine is what makes them addictive I hear.

Also cocaine, meth, all other amps, caffeine pretty much every stimulant I can think of is physically addictive.

Crack heads? Meth heads? Caffeine is one of the most addictive substances on earth, Nicotine IS A STIMULANT highly addictive.

Nicotine is a notable exception, though it is rather different than, say, phenethylamine stimulants. But what, specifically, other than the fact that they are addicted to the drug makes you think that those people are PHYSICALLY DEPENDENT on cocaine or methamphetamine? We're talking about a pretty particular state of biology here, not just psychological dependence.

So your saying that you have never heard of someone addicted to coke or methamphetamine to get physical withdrawls?

just google physical dependence of methamphetamine. Or physical withdrawls of methamphetamine.  Or you could make it simple and google "is methamphetamine physically addictive?"

The list is rather long

These drugs release neurotransmitters that you body becomes accustom to having at such high levels. When you stop using your body no longer has them causing physical strain on your body.

I can believe you never heard of these drugs affecting people physically.

Depends on your definition of physical dependence, since neurochemistry is altered in such a way that a person desires the drug and consequently experiences negative symptoms as a result of not having those neural pathways tickled. I don't tend to distinguish between physical and psychological dependence because of the overlap. 

But yeah, amphetamine won't produce the extreme sort of withdrawal syndrome you see with opiates or benzos or alcohol.  It's more akin to the withdrawal syndromes seen with people addicted to cocaine or cannabis.

Even caffeine is physically addictive.

Ever hear of someone who gets a head ache and gets tired after drinking a caffeinated beverage. That is considered a sign of physical addiction do to it being a symptom of withdrawls.
