What do you think makes humans magical beings?
    #11574448 -

I think we are magical because we have discovered how to navigate around infinity by doing something that no other organism we know about can do. Think about thinking. Thats like multiplying infinity by infinity.

Quote:
Intuition and telepathy is centered in your heart chakra so that you may understand that feeling is the guidance system. Presently, your right brain hemisphere functions of astral sensitivity, clairvoyance and clairaudience are opening where you are receiving messages from higher intelligence. In feeling within your heart the vibrations of the figure eight moving between contrast and completion, or movement and rest there is an acceleration of frequency within your subjective mind that moves out of objective time and space reality. This journey into the inner subjective mind is triggered by the right hemisphere and opens the doorway through the now into the realm of pure spiritual thought forms that holds keys and codes to holographic recreation. The Milky Way spins around an open portal called the doorway of light which opens you to new heart energy. As the seat of telepathy and clairvoyance you are beginning to see, hear and communicate with empowered feelings to create new worlds in alignment with the messages from higher intelligence.

The Teachers of Light represent higher intelligence and divine love. They operate as the trillions and billions of stars that shine light as communication portals into your magnetic fields. The Teachers of Light are beings of great power and focus. Their light is vibrant, shining and illuminating. The Teachers are guides along the path of the stream which enables all life to exist in polarization, vibration and creativity. It is the divine plan that you are to awaken potential within matter and energize it into creations and manifestations. It is through your creative ability to operate within the realms of matter and energy with conscious awareness that there is existence and expansion of the universe. Your advancement into the unknown is requested by the divine plan of the universe so that life continues to become more and more energized from the foundations created by higher intelligence. From your human perspective there are challenges in the unknown which require courage, desire and infinite curiosity.

In the journey there are paths that are steps along the way of the great river that move off and on the clear stream’s current. The Teachers of Light, Wayshowers and your emotional feelings guide you back along the stream. The lighted pathway gives you pleasure and joy when you are going with the movement of the river of divine source. The dark road leads to despair, worry, fear and loss for it begins with self and ends in destruction. This is a time when there is an awakening to an energetic impulse of light that is awakening the Galactic Heart, the Earth and Humanity to great pain and great joy. The old world feels pain through an impoverished, enslaved and ignorant humanity. All the avenues of separation, confusion and conflict are being sought for safety and protection from the fear of power and the resistance to change.

The shell is being broken away by the current upon which we all are traveling. The shell that has provided home and protection is no longer needed. New bodies of light with new densities are breathing in universal energies and are awakening. The old planetary body of light is being discharged and the new Galactic Body of Light is rising to become empowered with the stream of love that is the central strand that binds light from the center of the universe to the galaxy, planet and your heart. In your own mind you ask for a purpose, mission and guidance and in this you are to receive the Telepathic Instructions from the Galaxy.

Your divine being is opening its eyes to look upon you and send you messages to open your mind, heart and spirit. New magnetic fields expand and brighten the color of your aura and charge your being with enlightenment. On the journey there has been a greater and a lesser, a guide and a follower, a way and a Wayshower. You are now on the way and feel and follow the current. You are unified, one and in your being you are feeling the bliss of joy and knowledge that your being is eternal and in infinite agreement with your galactic being. The Galaxy is unified and allows the mind to freely move through the dimensions of the physical and non-physical. To see your home galaxy with your non-physical, timeless eyes you will see a being of wisdom, love and intelligence that is like upon the God of Gods and Goddesses. Yet ,there is more that is held beyond. For there is no end to the journey that has begun for if it were to end, then it would be stopped and controlled by that which can never be. The nameless creator of that which nothing can be said has being beyond all that is contained within the infinite. Along the way that moves with clear concentration and knowing there is a certain destiny that it follows for life is a divine gift where all that is becomes renewed.

You are the Creators of the Divine Gift

Stupidity makes humans magical beings. The skill to be able to pretend we don't know. Everyone is stupid, as everyone pretends they don't know on one level or the other. We can shield ourselves from the truth or certain beliefs, we can decide what we want to believe, and what we don't want to believe.. we master our own stupidity, our belief sytem, our personality, our ego. We have self-importance in order to protect our precious gift of stupidity.

Most people think stupidity is a bad thing, so did I, but the power of stupidity is in this: ignorance is bliss. Try telling yourself how you are actually stupid and how you don't know anything, a huge burden will fall of your shoulders. Don't worry about being ignorant, you can always go back to pretending you're not stupid.

No, it's just get me it trouble almost every time I trip alone, when hitting a wall of things no one knows or can know, but I wan't to know, and it's just frustrating, mind racing yet gets nowhere, spinning in place so to speak.

Hence it's probably more accurate to say "I don't know and I don't want to know" to lift that burden.

Good point, the universe is magical, but I think what the op was trying to say is, what makes us so special out of all special things? Don't you agree, that human beings are the most magical of all magical things? What makes this so?

Humans are not anymore magical than anything else, we just exagerate our own worth and make exagerated faces as we say oooohhh magical. While other organisms are not so impressed with themselves .

But saying that other animals are not so full of themselves is once more making humans 'special,' or at least distinct and unique.

Learning about comparative psychology (the examination of various animals and their behavior) has more or less shown me that all the things that are commonly held to distinctly human abilities, like cognitions (thoughts), reasoning, etc. are not very distinct at all. It's impossible to say that animals have an ego, like a human thinks of, but many definitely express in their own way similar behavioral responses to threats of self.

i.e. In monogamous primates such as the Gibbon, female partners will chase off any and all females that are anywhere near the male. If the other female refuses to flee, they will fight until one dies, or gives up. It's a protective measure to ensure the male isn't going to go sleeping around

You can explain it in terms of its benefit, evolutionarily... but then it blurs the lines between what makes humans distinct from these Gibbons... for we too act in a way that is evolutionarily beneficial. We attach thoughts, but do they really change the behaviors? Nope... The human experience of our own behaviors may not be identical to that of other animals, but the outcome is the same, so what difference is there really?

Depends on what viewpoint you take.
From the viewpoint of comparative psychology, we are doing exactly what any other animal would do.
Environment + abilities = behavior
Just because we can do certain things with technology that other animals can't, doesn't mean they wouldn't if given the opportunity.

And please don't misunderstand me... I'm not trying to bring down other animals.
I'm trying to raise humans views of themselves. We're not some evil monster!
We are just another animal. Subject to the same evolutionary forces.
If we can't adapt to a changing environment, evolution will weed us out.
If we can, well, we'll continue to thrive.

Hell I would agree I think we are actually playing our ecological role wich involves global warming to prevent another ice age and pumping all that carbon burried deep in the earth to the surface in order to start approaching another warm age where there is as much biomass walking around like in the dinosaur ages, we just need to be horrible little monsters to do it and I think we most likely will kill ourselves in the rprocess because we are actively oposing human evolution, organisms that survive are ones that evolve .

There is some good stuff here!

I laughed hard at the "Wands" response.

I agree that the universe is magical and we are not the only magical beings, nor are we the most magical. As far as Earth is concerned though, I think we may be the most magical organic beings because of what I mentioned in the original post, we can think about thinking. This opens up infinity to humankind in a way that no other organism can reach. Because we can think about thinking, we can love love, hate hate, communicate about communication, learn how to learn, there are probably more but I am choosing not to think about it because my time is limited. This opens up so much! We can consciously choose to love, to hate, to communicate, to learn. This conscious choice is what I was referring to as navigating infinity.

Lennybernadino: I love your last post about humans playing their ecological role. I totally agree. But its painful to watch us tear up the earth and all this biomass.

Honestly, I personally don't believe humans are more significant than any other other entities in this multi-dimensional Universe. I think we're more blessed than other organisms because of our highly-advanced intellectual capabilities. Some of us are intelligent enough to discover the existence of God and perhaps even the eternal element to life. This sets us apart from the animal kingdom because it gives us the ability to evolve our consciousnesses, paving the way to higher levels of existence.

As far as what makes a human magical, I would say that this is a trick question because no human can perform supernatural feats as everything that is possible is by definition natural.  As far as performing feats that violate the conventional understanding of things, though, I would say a deep understanding of the way things work is necessary.

It should be added that what modern human scientist define as the laws of physics and what they think are naturally possible are not the way things work, they are simply a use of the way things work and those who fall under their mental domain especially those who believe them are trapped by these rules while others are not, and some people are not trapped by such things and are able to function outside the socially mantained view of the world as described by the so call modern teachings of the real world . Every other life form has its own laws of physics and each also has ones who break those laws .

First some background on how I veiw "sin" differently than most humans.  Drinking, smooking, adultery, murder, that's not sin.  Sin is when you don't believe in our creator, when you don't believe in love.

This is why people do things that hurt others, because they don't believe in "the greatest good" so to speak.

"We wonder why we're running along here, men and women, why that we wear clothes and have to strive, and the animals don't. God feeds His little old birds and takes care of everything else. But we have to shift for ourself. Is because sin separated us from our Maker. That's what did it. Now, man as he's moving along...

You don't see the animal embettering himself. He can't embetter himself. If he gets any better treatment, it's got to come from some other source. He doesn't build hisself a better house. He doesn't make hisself fry his meat, where he used to eat it raw. See? It has to be done because he... There's nothing in him to give him a soul. A animal doesn't have a soul.

But a man has a soul. And therefore, that soul is a part of God. And even in its fallen state, yet it's the most greatest specie of all the species of the earth, is the man. And then get him in connection with his Maker, he becomes a superman almost, because he's a son of God. He becomes acquainted with his Maker, with the Creator of all things. And then when that man there, acquainted with his Maker, becomes a part of his Maker, becomes back into fellowship with his Maker, every Divine Word becomes a living reality to him, and he believes it.

No wonder people can't believe Divine healing today. They haven't got nothing to believe with. Until God comes into the human heart, a man is not much better than a brute. His reason, he will think it all out, "How can this be?" And explain it all away. But when God ever takes His position in the human heart all the reasonings fade away, and God becomes first."

This experiance is what seperates us from animals and makes us "magical" (besides the wands).  It also seperates us from other humans.  Not all people are drawn to the light.  Not all humans can have this experience.  But this is just what I believe to be true and my opinion isn't worth any more than anyone else's.

Well, as long as they're "magic"

Iin Ayuhuasca I saw sin as what sperates us from god, what lowers our conciousness, and what distances ourselves from out true nature, those are wrds, what I saw it as though was this downard pulling force that we must resist or through these sins it will drain away our energy and awareness and make us loose our connection with the universe it causes not to express our true nature .

Actually animals do try to "embetter" themselves. They build dens and nests and try to drive off competition so to control the hunting in their region. If they get weak from lack of food then they hunt. If they are social animals they gather or build whatever they need to get a mate: the bluebird gathers blue etc. And why is frying meat any better then raw unless its for storage? What is a soul that you think only humans have one? My cat has more soul in his one paw then many of these zombie humans walking around asleep and lost?

But yes OT humans are "majikal" creatures in theory. As said b4 all is majik and humans can believe in that or not. It is like a common street magicians trick tho: he does something with his left hand and draws your attention and with his right he produces the coin from a hidden place. Humanity is constantly staring at the left hand. When someone comes along and holds up something in their right hand then people clap and say "good majik trick". But it was really there all along no? Its just we choose to be distracted by whats in front of us. Hidden in plain sight so to speak is majik. The elephant in the room no one see's or seems to want to speak about.

SO science yes. its a nice way of classification of what is. But yes ppl put to much worth on science. But science is the new way. In a way science is about making a living or a coin. Once it was majik. Its about words/ theory that is common. You cant trade in common idea's or words: everyone knows them. The education we recieve for "free" up to grade 12 is enuf to be useful cogs in the machine and no more. If we pay more (uni) we get more learning and so are more useful cogs. But it is about paying. The education in a slave conscience is nessissary to society for new cogs for the machine and its difficult to break that "education" and see things in a new way. It will make u a freak.

Not wanting to be a complete downer tho: its better to see that society is just the what it is. we are what we are. Nothing and everything makes us magical. talking about it makes it less so but we still do. my cat never talks about it: he just does it. speaking is just grunts and such its so basic but thats where we are most of the time. when u know an the ones with you know there is no spekaing: when u have balance and awareness it is just knowning and its shared. Speaking about it is like venting atmosphere: we need the obscurity like earth needs clouds and atmosphere: if every day was sparkling and clear then the earth would die: no rain u see,,, no fog.

its a big subject. scattered i can only put word to thoughts maybe they add up to something? grunts are poetry to those who can sing but dont think themselves better then another. magic wont make u better then another is will make u worse. knowledge is sexy and attractive but it is a responsibility and a burden. Do ask if you dont want to know someone has added here: thats pretty good idea. remember to forget to remember to forget is a way that enables collective unconscience existance - its about balance.

can you do your job job and remain balanced? can u interact with the everyday? bits and pieces yes but no its a material world we cant all live away from it so probably not so remember to forget.

All i meant was that animals do these things by instinct.  I believe they have a spirit (feelings) but not a soul (an eternal energy being)  I understand that not everyone feels this way.  They are here for us to enjoy.  We give them love and they love us in return.  But as a human, I can choose to love those who treat me badly and hate me.  Animals simply rely on instinct.  Treat them poorly enough and they will a)run away.  or B) attack you and claw your face off.

There have even been many stories of animals who love their owners and are treated well and then one day just "snap".  I have heard animal trainers say that just the wrong sound at the right moment can do this.  Most  humans can control themselves better than that.  We Choose to be better.

Animals can communicate but you never see them coming together to try and use this communication to figure out how they can help other animals, end world hunger, move other animals out of danger zones, or better those that are less fortunate than themselves.  They are interested in themselves and their small group of relatives.  They mean to survive.  They are honest, instinctive, and wonderful.

Does any of this help?

I am not dissing on them, I love animals, I love nature.  I feel about a hundred times more at peace in the forest with wild animals than I do in the company of many people.  Whether it be my family or complete strangers.  I feel at home in the wild.

I have long thought that the human race would be better off if people didn't talk quite so much.  Lots of talk and virtually no walk as far as I am concerned.  Including myself at times.  Things would be better if people had to do, do, do instead of say, say, say.

Like you said, it is a big subject, these are just my small thoughts.

But not all humans do meditate , nor do all animals ,plants, or fungi, but mayebe all of them can . And it is a choice often made by others for us wether to recognize our magical nature or remain ignorant of it, most do not realise that it is even a choice . And we all tap into exactly the same power it is just some people who pay attention to the power itself and eamine how they tap into it and maybe make a more delibberate decision on what to do with it while others use it like everyone else uses it without havig a clue what they are using or that it could be used ina different way.

I have had the pleasure of knowing a few magical animals, plants, and fungi wich did not observe the laws of nature and behaved in quite extroardinary ways, I suppose since this is the shroomery it would be appropriate to tell the tale of a strange mushroom I once met . I was hunting in 10mile drive in Monterey, California finding candy caps and reallya a lot of giant cypress agricuses, one or two boletes an I was walking by when this mushroom burst suddenly out of the ground I jumped startled ! Heart thumping there was this yellow musrhoom on a twtwo foot stalk leaves were actually missplaced by the suddeness of this mushroom emerging , I am not sure if it was a good idea but I had to ID it so I picked it . It turned out to be an Amanita Gemnata, at that time in my point I have never tried any psychadelic or eve illegal drugs , I was not probe to visions or anything I was still rather young like 16 years old . Never forget that and, NO I DID NOT EAT IT!
It is us who decided the laws of nature and the limits we fillow that is a natural process and so is altering those decisins sometimes everybody and every life form does this most do it within a very species acceptable limit others push it farther like that gemmed amanita .

yeah really spot on and ya know what? when your having a really good chat with someone and they say something like you havent really thought of thinking about b4 - like a different perspective on something. And your like oh yeah "i knew that" cause it just clicks and makes sense. Thats kinda the feeling.

Life is a journey that is constant detours and the detours make it interesting and what not - the fact its all happened b4 and your doing it over and over isnt really meant to be a bad thing. its a good thing well as good as you choose to make it.

But you Do Know! Thats the beauty of it!! You just forget or lose your path, but its always right in front of you, and always will be, you just can't be scared of it. Be confident!

Dictionary.com definitions:

Imagine-- To form a mental image of (something not actually present to the senses).

Emotion-- An affective state of consciousness in which joy, sorrow, fear, hate, or the like, is experienced, as distinguished from cognitive and volitional states of consciousness.

So... Form a mental image of joy, sorrow, fear, hate, or the like and you've done it!

LOL Do you honestly believe I do not know the meaning of imagination or emotion? I was wondering how exactly you imagine your emotions, it sounded like a really interesting thing to do. How do you imagine joy, sorrow, fear, hate etc?

Its kind of weird to tell you the truth. I can just vividly imagine things happening, and if it has an feeling or outcome attached to it, I then feel that feeling.

Example: I sometimes unwillingly imagine bad things happening to my family or to me and it might bring tears to my eyes because I am 'imagining' what their 'emotions' would be after the fact.

or

I sometimes imagine myself winning the lottery and I can feel the emotions of people who's lives I could change with all that money, i could feel their laughter from all the crazy shit my friends and I would do. Hence the phrase 'I could imagine how that could be funny'.

Does that answer your question? Im not really sure how to answer it.

Yup that answered my question thanks for answering :P  Have you ever considered that if you can imagine emotions, you no longer need anything but your imagination? Aren't drugs also inducing emotions, you think it might be possible to imagine the emotion of weed or shrooms?

Good question. I honestly don't know. To me weed relaxes you and usually takes away any anxiety. Mushrooms tend to amplify all my senses.

When I eat mushrooms, I can feel and sense things that I normally was ignorant to and I absolutely love it! I feel more sober on mushrooms than I do off them. Having the ability to feel everything my body is trying to tell me is definitely a task and is a godsend when it happens.

For me its like this... If i were to become a master of yoga and meditation then I would acquire a high level of self awareness. I would know what's going on inside me at all times because I would have a near perfect self image to base my judgment upon. I would know when a certain muscle needs to be stretched or a certain limb needs more circulation.

As of right now, my self awareness is absolutely pathetic. I am so ignorant to my own feelings that I don't even feel them!

When I eat mushrooms, all those mental and physical feelings I should be aware of come back to me because they are amplified. I then am able have visions of how I SHOULD be and feel and I tell you what man, Its a BIG difference.

Example: I usually eat a lot of food, more than I should anyways. When I dose higher than 2 grams of mushrooms I tend to get nauseous because of all the extra food inside me and I end up ralphing it all up and feeling much better afterwards. Then, like a lot of people, I hardly eat or drink anything while tripping<-- I think because my body and I are now connected and It does not want food, nor does my ego need any type of comfort from food.

Does this make any sense?

Sorry Diabloleros, I didn't really answer your question again. lol. i guess i just needed to get that out.

Can one imagine the emotion of weed or mushrooms?

From my experience, weed and mushrooms alter your emotions. They aren't a single feeling, but instead they put you in a altered state of being which makes you feel things differently. I don't know how one would alter their state to feel like they were stoned or tripping, but it may be possible.

The closest thing I have ever come to imagining or feeling, was this time down by a river. I wasn't high or tripping, I saw some tree roots and they made me trip out. I had this profound understanding of a tree's purpose and intention, and that feeling was similar to times I've had on mushrooms.

I don't know if I've answered your question well, but I would really like to keep this dialogue going cause I like where its headed!

Makes a lot of sense, it's kinda the same for me, how surpressed feelings and bodily feelings come back when taking weed or shrooms, I'm trying to get to that state, to that awareness without taking them anymore. I was thinking that imagining emotions might be the key! As I've smoked weed and had a mushroomtrip, so you don't need to take shrooms to trip, but how to do it, it's a mystery.. maybe all you need to do is imagine being high lol, I should try that during meditation.. Weird isn't it, how you can have a shroomtrip without ingesting shrooms? How is this possible?

Hmmm...well I guess we'd have to figure out the exact effects of mushrooms on the brain.

I'd say we have to figure that out first, before we move on.

So....What do mushrooms actually do to a person?

I feel its all about space, when you have space in your mind, a clear mind, you get that psychedelic spiritual feeling, everything feels light

When you feel cluttered in your mind, then you have a very worldly physical feeling, everything feels heavy

Thats the thing, if there are no longer any shrooms in my blood and I smoke weed and I get a shroomtrip, are it really the shrooms doing anything? Ever heard of flashbacks? I think shrooms might just induce a certain memory push a button in the brain, and its only a matter of finding that memory, that button, and you can push it yourself. I know weed can also push the button of a shroomtrip..

Ever heard of NLP and Derren Brown?  He's able to re-induce drunken states into people, he can make people drunk through hypnosis. Without alcohol ingestion. I'm thinking this should also be possible for shrooms.. check it out:

Yeah, Nuero Linguistic Programming. I've read a little bit on it. Its some interesting stuff.

Hypnosis though is kind of hit or miss for me. All a hypnotist does is get you to connect with him through their speech. They ask you to follow rules and act accordingly. So the person that is drunk induced isn't really drunk or experiencing drunkenness, they are just acting. Its almost like the hypnotist is really good at convincing you to go along with the show. There are some hypnotists though that help people with depression, and convincing a person to be happy is more truthful, because being happy is an actual feeling that can be reached without drugs.

In short, im not sure that a hypnotist can make you actually trip out, he might be able to convince you to act like you are trippin, but you wont really be. If that makes any sense.

Chronic777 had a good point about our minds being clear in order to feel that psychedelic feeling. And when we are troubled with thoughts is when things get cluttered.

I guess with an uncluttered mind, focused on a subject(what ever you want to trip on) is what we need to try.

But what about the visuals? How would we get those crazy ass patterns into our perspective?
