Mystery Mushroom
    #11289054 -

Just curious if anyone knew offhand what these were. I've been finding them in my houseplants here and there.  They resemble pawns from a chess game when they emerge, eventually thinning out.  I thought my soil was infected with insect eggs in the soil until I oneday saw a mushroom form.  I now know that was the mycelium feeding on the organic matter in the soil.  It's almost like a very light neon green in color, especially when young.  I took pictures of the gills, stem and caps.  All pics are from the same mushroom.  I like the ridged texture of the caps.  I surely don;t plan on eating it or anything and know it's not psychoactive.  I am just curious.  If a sporeprint is absolutely necessary, i can try to get one when the next one pops up.

Habitat:
Where does it grow? In some of my houseplants.

Gills: offwhite/white

Stem: White with a tinge of green/yellow

about 2-3" long 1/8" thick,

Cap: about 1-2 inches in diameter,  same color as stem

Spore print color:
Unknown

Bruising:
none detected

Other information:
Mycelium almost looks like insect eggs.

I love those little guys.

Yeah I have a pic of one in my delosperma. I've had various musrooms in my soil over the years, but this is the coolest one yet. Thanks for the ID!

I have some of those growing in my oregano plant. My sister-in-law seen them, and now she won't eat anything I make with oregano because it has "mold" in it.

I just left them alone because they cause no harm, and are kinda cute.

You think?
I have never seen any in real life, so I figured they were Leucocoprinus birnbaumii.
I am a complete noob, so who knows. Lol

This is what I thought also.

Seeing the "cobweb" is how I first noticed the mushrooms. These are all much bigger now, and the cobweb part has little yellow balls under it. I assumed that this was the start of new mushrooms, but I could be way wrong.

Oh, and sorry blazed123 for hijacking your thread.

I was just trying to show an example of the "highlighter yellow" Leucocoprinus birnbaumii.

Reasonably sure those aren't gyms, they are Leucocoprinus birnbaumii.

Cool Find!
