I have some syringes I need to clean out. Is it necessary to PC them, or just boil?

I already have sterile water for grain LC's, just need to clean my syringe.

I know, I know, use the search function. It gives me a reason to post the pic and keep the thread on topic.

I have heard pc is the way to go, but am not sure about whether or not a liquid should be in the reservoir when you do it. First thought was that they would explode, but then i thought it would just squirt out the end.. any ideas?
