melted mycobag advice...
    #11271340 -

anyone have any advice on getting mycobags to not melt in the PC? I use jar rings for a platform, to keep the bags off the bottom, should i keep them from touching the sides also? Or should i submerge them in water? I think only the part above the water, and touching the metal, is the only parts that melted.

Thanks,
SP

i guess you could use tyvek too
but the foil alone has always worked well for me

Use the foil.. Put the rings in the bottom then crumble up some foil then straighten it out and place a layer over the rings, then around the PC.. That way it keeps the bags from touching the sides..

You should be able to do 90 minutes cause it is only 4 quarts of substrate total..

Also I have a Presto 23 quart and love it.. But I am saving to get a big bad All American now..

I can fit 10 quart jars in my presto, and I have also done 4 spawn bags with each spawn bag having roughly 3 pounds of WBS in each.
