Ive done it more times than I can count but never had a mystical or spiritual experience on it. The experience was always more of a fugue.

I don't know what your talking about but since I've become really involved with psychedelics I have gained an ultra-sense of personal hygiene and self esteem.  That's one of the things in my personality that psychedelics changed.

Yeah, it can be a bit amnesiac.

Though at times the experience is crystal clear for me.

I recently went on a hike with some Salvia.

I stopped and smoked on a bridge over a little stream.

As I closed my eyes, I got the feeling that people were surrounding the bridge.

I could hear groups of families, who were all a little perturbed at me for doing this hippie thing,

getting spaced out on some drug and blocking up the bridge for normal folks.

I was torn as to whether or not I was tripping, so I halfway expected to see real people when I opened my eyes,

but I wasn't worried enough about it to let them bother me, so I just ignored them in my selfish mock-meditation.

When I finally opened my eyes, I did find something that surprised me:

not actual people, but there seemed to be a little see-through family nearby.

The plants and weeds made out their outlines, and I could plainly see a father, a mother, a young boy, and an even younger girl.

As my eyes darted from each family member to the next, looking for faces, I realized that I had been fooled,

and it was really just one impish witchdoctor-looking spirit, with a straw skirt and headdress on.

He seemed to be something of a wise trickster, and I got the impression that he was tickled from bestowing some type of moral lesson upon me.

Why do hippies suck? Because they don't do shit...

Hippies were a part of the counterculture back in the '60s and '70s but from what I can tell they weren't the ones leading the protests: feminists, students for a democratic society and other groups were doing the marches, trying to get our boys home from Vietnam. The hippies were the ones back home tripping out while all this was going on.

I find the hippie lifestyle to be outrageously selfish. "I love everyone and everything in the world man" they say... So, you should be working in a soup kitchen, in a hospital, or in a third world country fighting poverty, right? "Mmmm naah man I think I'm gonna eat some shrooms and merge with the cosmos".

For all the peace and love talk hippies spend an awful lot of time listening to music and getting high...

Where did you get your information?  Don't do shit?  Im a 'hippy' but not by your definition.  I'm also a professional engineer.  I also served in the US Navy.  What do you do?  And what do you know about the 60's and 70's?  Where you there?  I was.

wow people are such babies on the shroomery sometimes. You say one thing and they look up all the info they can on you and your old posts just to get back at you. It's like they have no lives, or jobs, oh wait, their probably fucking hippies not contributing anything to society. And just cause I tell someone fuck you, doesn't mean I am evil. Don't know where you were going with that, but whatever hippies, have fun being dirty and fucking women with hairy legs and armpits. :grin:

is just a generalization, you cant base a whole culture off a select few, I have indeed met hippies who are clean and well groomed and make it in life. Most people in their youth is not a spitting image of what they might be in the future. I have met dirty hippies and I admit they smell and need to take a shower but that doesn't mean I think all hippies need to shower.

If you are ragging on that then I think your preaching to the wrong crowd here my friend, this site is in fact called The Shroomery, if you have a problem with people getting high and eating mushrooms all the time then why do you even post here?
