ENOUGH!

I am sick of hearing people all over this board subtly trash hippies. Like, I am trying to decipher whether you don't know what the world hippie means, or your just overcompensating for your usage of drugs that is associated with...well...hippies.

I for one don't see anything wrong with being a hippie. Hippie's believed in a lot of good things. They were about peace and love, and freedom for everyone...don't trash that image because your afraid of being called one because you use their drugs...and really, these drugs got the light shown on them thanks to the hippie era...

Hippie's were also spiritual...and some were more into political endeavors, others might have just been stoners...

Just like all of us are

So please, leave the hippies alone, and at least give them some credit for your drug enjoyments...

Hippies usually get trashed by the same people who trash religious individuals and for the same reasons. The people doing the trashing are typically evil, depressed, wicked people who oppose anyone that has a different system of beliefs.

Things I like about hippies: Their drugs, their music, their normal woman.
Things I dislike about hippies: Their protests, their diets (I <3 meat) and the opinions that tend to flow out of their shit holes about their diets, their uncleanliness, and thassit :laugh:

Hippies are fine, if I was born back then I'd be a hippie for sure.

I prefer not to be labeled, I guess it's human nature to try to identify with the group... but then you're just establishing another culture for people to conform to. I think of myself more as an individual than anything else... labels and trying to conform to any certain image or belief system is weak.

Plus, most people who call themselves hippies are really just stupid kids who think they're "super chill and cool" for smoking weed. Fuck that scene...

I love hippies, I do joke about em though.  Mostly because of the ones at music festivals that are dirty.  Thats the thing i dont like about em.  The ones that dont shower and shit.  Im a pretty boy so I gotta be clean.  The cool hippies are the shit.  Alot of my friends are hippies and people use to call me one when I had long hair.

I don't really mind the laid back hippies because they're usually pretty chill individuals to hang out with. The idealistic hippies that don't shut up about some ridiculous "cause" make me want to strangle them with a steak. And I agree with the shower comments. If you're trying to change people's opinions and bring about world peace, step into a fucking shower first.

yeh im just messing salt water isn't that good to bathe in. it makes my hair all nappy and my skin kindy ashy after i dry off. i dont mind hippys but I hate hippys who are spoiled rich kids. go to the rainbow gathering if you wanna see some real hippies. real hippies dont have money.
