MO ID Please-believed to be pans

Thanks for checking out my post. the pictures are shared in my profile.

Habitat: found on horse dung near stables
Gills: attached, light brown/tan
stem: fiberous (can be pulled apart), tan
cap: dry, light brown at top moving to tan moving to a darker brown ring
spore print color: not finished - hopefully black
no visible bruising

The pictures are not the best but SWIM wants to eat them and is a little worried

hmm, ima just throw this out there, but im not 100% sure. They look like subbalteatus(cinctulus) i think now? not sure bout name change either. but anyways They could be foensecii if the stem is fibrous, I believe pan subbs stem "snaps" but if the print is jet black, then their def not foes. Make sure to look at the print closly, my friend and i ate a bunch of foes because bad lighting led us to believe it was a black spore print when really it was dark dark brown. Wait on a trusted ID too.

Probably either pan. foenisecii or pan. cinctulus. You want the latter and judging by the pics in your gallery, there's a very fair chance that's exactly what they are. The spore print is crucial.

but lucky for you, foes are non toxic too! i remember i think we ate about 100-150 foes between us lol...no side effects at all, even though some claim spending the evening on the toilet. but thats it.

I think what you meant to say in your title is "Believed to be subbs". Also, you could try to bruise the mycelium maybe it will show a little blue.

yea be careful how you throw around the "pans" can be confused with a few other species. "cinctulus" or Subbs (with 2 B's) is the way to go.

Panaeolina foenisecii doesn't usually grow directly from dung. I don't think I've ever seen someone collect foes directly off of manure on the forums. They are usually found in manured lawns and pastures.

The OP's mushrooms look pretty meaty. I think they are Panaeolus subbalteatus/cinctulus.

I bet those prints come out jet black, no hint of brown.

thanks for all the help guys. they ended up in the belly once we got the spore print. Jet black.
We are heading out to take another look tomorrow at few other places similar since there were hundreds of little caps coming up in a few places.  This is the first day we have had without rain all week, and it POURED yesterday.
I'll report back.
