You are not only proselytizing, you are insulting.  You see, by making a declarative statement such as "This was the beginning of true religion", you are also stating it's opposite as being false.
You see, you cannot declare one religion to be "true" without declaring all other religions to be "false". 
You might as well quit beating around the bush and say "my way is the only right way."  You could have taken the high road and declared, "I've investigated a large portion of the world's religions, and of all the possible paths, Christianity seems to be the best path for me." 
But instead you tell us, (I'm paraphrasing here) "I'm right, you're wrong, suck it."
You are not just presumptuous, you are also an asshole.  People like you are the reason everyone here has such a problem with me using the word "religion" to describe my experience with entheogens.
Too bad you are too much of an asshole to allow anyone but you and your little club access to the ultimate.
Anyone who makes the statement "I'm right, you are wrong" with sincerity can go choke on a bag of dicks.  I used to take the time to explain relativity and Robert Anton Wilson's ideas about "reality tunnels", but there is no getting through to these people.
I'm going to show you three equivalent statements for your education, entertainment:

"I'm right, you're wrong"

"You have nothing to teach me because I already know everything."

"I am incapable of growth as I'm satisfied with my mediocrity."

Come on people, we've known this since Socrates and Lao Tzu.  The beginning of knowledge is the awareness of ignorance.  Quit acting like you have the answers.

but calling him names won't help. if mushrooms have taught me anything, it's that we're all one, and only ignorance and hate divide us.

Yes.

Christ's gospel was exclusive, and so is the message of Christians. They have the authority to speak declarative statements on matters of life, and to point out what is false and leads to death, because they have the truth and have been commissioned to preach it to every creature to make disciples. Of course the result will be, that those who hear the message will be offended. But this is the only offense that is right in God's sight. Of course it hurts to be told we are sinners, that Christ died a horrible death for our sin, and the resurrection only confirms this horrendous message, so we despise the resurrection too. Of course it's offensive when someone speaks so authoritatively and in a way that calls out our bluff. But I'm not alone. Besides the whole church, there is also the Bible and the testimony of all those who fill its pages with their blood. They were willing to die because they seek a city whose maker and builder is God, not this Babylon that builds towers to boast of Man's ability. When it comes to rescue, when it comes to being righteous before God, man has no ability. But God is calling a people out for His name's sake, through the message of the blood of His cross, "which is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."

ookay dude, i was in no way backing you up. you should stop shoving that stuff down our throats. it's really silly. christianity has been the most politically twisted religion of all time. more governmetns have had their hands in it than a strippers had fingers in her pussy.

i was asking them to be tolerant, but you need to stop pushing that stuff. it really has been proven that jesus existed, but as ghandi said, "i like your christ, but you can keep your christians."

its your choice if you want to follow a religion responsible for more death and torture than anything else in the whole history of mankind. saying anybody in the human race is actually better than anyone else, just spreads division. i'm not even overly proud of being american. seriouslly, even nationalism is like racism. and so is religiousism. maybe if you showed more of the respect and kindness that your christ preaches, ("i give unto you a new commandment, love the lord your god with all your heart, and love your neighbor as yourself") maybe people would give what you say, more creedance.

really. please. for me? will you eat 7 grams of mushrooms and two hours in... ask God if your religion is true. and if it is, is it the only truth?
funny, god made people in all shapes and sizes and colors, he made all these different plants and animals on this earth along with the help of our lovely mother earth... yet he made only ONE religion?

please google "jesus" and "isis" and "horace" please. if you don't, and continue to argue, but know in your heart, that you are argueing just to prove yourself right, and don't want to study up other views for fear of proving yourself wrong.

if you're so sure, then what have you to fear knowing the truth about the "opposition"

Ok I think it's time to put this thread to rest, unless we want to talk about mushroom or other entheogen centered rituals and rites, or the resulting philosophy that is born from the depths of psychedelic ego death.
I might not be able to do that myself, because I really do want to know what the hell Shrazoom is doing on the Shroomery.  It doesn't make sense.  I can't remember who said it now (was it shadow?) but according to your fundamentalist interpretation of scripture, your use of psychedelics is to eat the forbidden fruit of knowledge, e.g., making yourself God.  And, like it was said before, if you are just using it for kicks, that's hedonism.

This would mean you are inconsistent with your own philosophy, which makes you a mega super duper asshole. People that can live with that level of cognitive dissonance earn absolutely no respect from me.  I have no patience for people that ignore the little voice in their heads that tells them they are full of shit.

The other possibility, which would at least put you back into line with your own philosophy is that you only registered an account with Shroomery in order to witness to us, and you never have had a psychedelic experience. 
If that's the case, then that's cool I guess, you are trying to do what you think it right, which is what we all are doing, but, seriously, go away.  That kind of line works for children and little old ladies, but not for freethinking adults.

I'm real dude. you have half the picture. I may seem preachy, so you'd be nicely surprised to see how well I relate to and understand all kinds of people. I seem preachy because its in me. Why do you follow your ancestor's example in the photo and just close your ears? (that's a joke). 1: Talk about mushroom religions, rites, and ceremonies and keep the thread going

i dont understand why ppl must have believe in something that they haven't had an experience with. I'm sure over 95/98%+++ of the Christians never had a regelion experience or any thing in that sort.

in other words, how can you believe in something that you never felt or seen.

i believe its to "fit in" most of the Christians are Christians is just a fear of what ppl might think of them if they where of a norther religion.

i believe "in the US" that they abuse the word "God" to make the ppl more sure of there acion are pure and truth full, when in fact what they think about is the money, and dont care if they must kill 1000 of 1000 of ppl just 2 get it.

anyhoo, check it out, i really had this great idea for anyone living in the U.S.

find a lawyer and make a "official statement of belief" and get it notarized.
in this, make "establishments". in these, you should list daily cannabis use and weekly mushroom/ayahuasca/morning glory seeds/LSD/various cacti use as your sacrament or eucharist (modeled after the N.A.C's way) and then put like, "musical and artistic inspiration via the sacrament and/or natural (outside; by trees and nature itself) inspiration. then you can say stuff like, "i speak to my God thru nature and art and entheogens"

therefore you offically and legally establish your personal religion with the city, state, and Federal governments and once you take that route...

technically you're free. however, try to tell that to millions of displaced and slaughtered natives. it's getting better in some ways, but worse in others.
you would probably still go to jail, but with that lawyer, and statement of establishing a religion, you could fight it and maybe win  monumental case for yourself and other people who love to speak to "god" thru entheogenic use.

as i always will. i am pulling my son out of school and homeschooling him because i believe it is THAT important to get him away from the system that makes all these fucked up laws. he will get a full grounding in everything the school teaches, but will also study alex grey's: CoSM, Chapel or Sacred Mirrors. he will study hoffman, and leary, and McKenna brothers and he will study alternative histories, as we all know history is written by the victor, and the school's version is kinda fucked up.
he will also be raised so that between 13 and 16, when i catch him smoking weed, i will not force him to quit, but rather, show him several marijauna documentaries, and then ask him to stop til he's done with highschool. or at least, to cut to the weekends. between 16 and 18, i will introduce him to our family entheogenic religion, and after that, well, i figure with our gentle loving guidance, God will talk to him thru the entheogens better than we can. that's the age i ran away from home from my parents being to strict. i want to raise him right. all these fucked up people in the world... generally got that way from their parents. that christian guy... he's just quoting his youth pastor or parents, you know? he doesn't know any better... i want my son to be taught to think for himself, and question authority for why it's there and how it does things.
he questions me respectfully now, at 6, and i answer him. for everything.

"why do we do this dad?" and i'll tell him, even if he might not understand. and wouldn't you know it? he's top of his class and get's straight A's. he never talks back, doesn't have a speech impediment, isn't shy, and laughs every five minutes.
happy well adjusted and healthy.

i was raised religious and forced to do tons of stupid shit.
i have issues from it that only mushrooms and lots of tai chi meditation has been able to heal. i turned out alright, but i think i can help my son not have the problems i did. and when i get stumped as a husband or parent, i trip/journey and ask the entheogenic god spirit what i should do... since doing this regularly my life is better, my bills and debt is disappearing, and and ... well i'll stop rambling.

entheogens as a religion is the only way i will every live. so i guess to borrow brad nowells words, "long as i'm alive i'm gonna live illegal."
