That's funny, I've always thought of Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy as a primer for disbelief in a god.
Think about it:
Santa Claus sees everything you do, watches everything, keeps tabs and records, and also rewards those who are good with toys, and punishes those who are bad with coal (coal=fuel for fire!=hell).
First you stop believing in Santa, that's step one for growing up, then you stop believing in the Jehovah-god model, which is the exact same thing!
