Mushroom Hunting

I'm in the north of England and have been looking for mushrooms for the past couple weeks. Everything I've read says I should be able to find them in fields from September to December... but nothing yet. Any ideas, or do I just need to be more patient?

Find what mushrooms grow near you, and make sure you are looking in the correct habitats and you'll find them sooner or later. Use the search feature up top, you gain a lot of helpful information.

If you're hunting for Psilocybe semilanceata then yes, you just need to keep hunting in grassy fields over the next few months.

They will probably be a lot more prevalent in October but there has already been several 2009 season finds posted on this forum. Good luck.

It is still only the first week of September. And I'm not saying that nothing is out there because many posts have proven ohterwise.

Patience and Discipline are key, just like poker.
