First Grow

Just made my BRF and Verm mix cakes sealed em up but have to wait a day or two before i can sterilize them using a cooker, will this matter?

It shouldn't matter much but I would never recommend it. The cakes are wet which allows for mold and bacteria to grow in turn decreasing your success rate. I would (and do) always pressure cook them the day they are made. If you wait you are jut opening the door to failure.


My advice would be to plan things out better next time. You made the jars then came and asked that question.. don't you think it would have been better to post this question prior to making the jars?

Also, if you are planning on making some jars.. then wait till a day to make them when you have time to make them and cook them, it's just a much more sensible approach.
