 miracle grow perlite?

hello..i was in meijer today to get some perlite and all they had was miracle grow perlite..would this be a problem? would it invite contams? if anybody could help me on this id appreciate it
some say the end is near some say we'll see armagedon soon..certainly hope we will..i sure could use a vacation from this stupid shit.

I wouldnt use it if it specifies that it has nutrients or any type of chemical added to it.

You might want to make sure that the cakes dont come in contact with it. That is, dont set the cakes directly on the perlite. I'm not sure what liquid fertilizer would do but it doesnt sound good.

If the perlite has nutrients i would not use it. You could get a real nasty algae bloom if given sufficient light and not kept sterile. However algae is photosynthetic (uses CO2 and produces O2) might reduce need for fanning. Somebody smarter than i should make a biosphere tek for the real myco-geeks.

use it. just when you fill it with water, add a half bottle or so of H2O2 in the perlite, it shouldt be much of a problem anyway. and for the possible future algae tek, it sounds like its a good case, maybe i will try it... if anyone else does create a tek i think it sounds like a decent idea.

cool..ill go ahead and use it..im just doing casings so nothing will touch..i figure if nothing touches then it shouldnt hurt..first signs of any shit growing in my terarium ill do away with the miracle grow perlite..
