Massive sporulation questions
    #10962755 -

Back story: went on a road trip to hang with gngsteroflove for a few days. He cooks a mean steak- if you get an invitation, you should go.

Anyway, I came home to a greenhouse full of over-mature tubs (pics tomorrow). Spores everywhere, the shrooms are covered with them.

Now, I used the search engine, but I wanted to hear from somebody that has had it happen, if possible.
1) Potency is fine I assume? They weren't rotten or anything, just way too open.
2) The substrate blocks were saturated with spores. Will they ever fruit, or should I toss them?

Any advice appreciated, and any spore stories too.

Happened to me when I went on a 3 day camping trip. Potency was good was not affected and they were REALLY ripe just dried them and ate didn't cause any stomach pain or anything. Actually when it happened to me I also tried to search to see if they were still fine.

all good, just continue as normal for flush 2. :sun:

you would run into other issues (contams) b4 the freshly dropped spores do anything.

After my substrate gets covered in spores they fruit poorly with few average size mushrooms, but I still keep them to get everything I can from them.

spore deposits should not cause any problems at all.

i agree,

this is a 6 quart dub tub 3 1/2 quarts wbs cased 50/50 peat/verm, flush #6 you can see the spore residue all over from the other flushes. it has caused no problems at all other then it looks ugly.

1) You're damn right potency is fine. :mushroom2:

2) Should be fine. It's just a mess and I try to avoid it, personally. All those spores can get into your vents, causing some respiratory problems, etc. Cube spores can also get into computer fans and wreck a hard drive if there's enough of them to gunk shit up.

I recently had this problem and my hands were literally black and purple after I got done picking the entire tub. It was an interesting feeling.

Yeah, I wanted to take a picture of my hands, but I couldn't pick up the camera until I washed.
Then the wash water was purple like spore syringes, I kept thinking of all the hundreds of dollars people spend on that stuff...
