casing question/problem (pic)
    #704611 - 06/27/02 04:56 AM (21 years, 5 months ago)

so it s three days i put my two casing in terrarium.
for the moment it s seems good--mycelium grown--
but you can see on pic that i had been obliged to scotch terrarium ? s hole (before there was polyfill , because i can t go highter than 88 rh!!
i spray two time (three sometimes) my terrarium (not my casing) and temp is around 25? (26? sometimes)--i read that good temp in terrarium is 23-26 and 90+rh
i cant go highter 87/88 rh!!
what can i do?perhaps my analog temp/rh is at88rh but the good calibration is 90+:)
because it s seems well humide inside and i can t do better--
what do you think?and what do you think about my casing?
it s ecuador strain--thx:)

Huh?
Did you calibrate your hygrometer?

Otherwise the casing looks good, perhaps a little dry,, should pin in a couple of days.

it doesnt look like you have a very good seal with that saran wrap? over the hole you put in the lid, it looks like you just put a few squars of packing tape in a couple spots, i say get yourself some duct tape( I suppose that packing tape will work okay too, im just a duct tape fanatic) and tape along all the edges, where the clear plastic meats the lid, so there is no leak, completely sealing it, that way you should get good humidity, also, you could throw in a tray of wet perilite in the terrarium with your casing to help up the humidity.
