Hey I once heard that magic mushrooms make your brain bleed and thats why  you see shit, is this true ? I was also wondering what are the physical and chemical effects of psilocybin cubensis on your brain, and what extent of psychological damage do mushrooms cause on your brain....

no..............the chemicals in mushrooms replace certain neurotransmitters in your brain, making you trip....and psilocybin cubensis is just a species of mushrooms...if your brain started bleeding, you would most likely die.

yes, this rumor is true.
The blood flowing down the back of your eyes is what makes you see things that aren't there, and the scabs forming on your brain is what makes you hear things that aren't there and gives you changed perception.

All that I am saying is that "I once heard it" and it was from someone whom I trust, I am in no way trying to validate that rumor in any way shape or form. I just wanted some factual evidence that could prove that mushrooms do not make your brain bleed. I could not find any of this on erowid.com, or the shroomery.com... That is all I am saying plain and simple.

I spend a great deal of my freetime researching mushrooms and psychedellics and people always come to me and ask me questions about the subject. I have been asked a couple times "what are some of the negative effects of mushrooms", and I havent really been able to give an answer, So I would go and search for one and to this day I cant find any negative side effects really. that tells me that there really aint shit to worry about.

What im tryin to say is that I can understand this person askin us these questions because the only negative side effects he can find are rumors and propaganda.

i hear that, after close to 20 years of use and after four years of college where the majority of my research has been on psychedelics i have come to the conclusion there some of the safest drugs we have pysiologicaly. they can cause psychological disturbances when used wrong. the potential of these drugs for treating certain forms of mental illness and addiction is vast.i`m glad that M.A.P.S. has got the FDA to pass research protocols. the first study at U of Arizona just started with useing psilocybin to treat OCD. the lsd study at johns hoppkins has also been passed.hopefully the political stigma that is attached to these drugs will
be replaced by the truth, that used right they are healers :cool:

Yeah in my health class they have covered all the negitive effects of all the drugs, but they seemed to have skiped mushrooms for some weird reason :cool:. That has made me conclude that they dont have shit on mushrooms AND if they cant even find somthing wrong with them they have to be fine considering they blow everything out of propotion so eat away! LONG LIVE THE SHROOM! :grin:

There should be a modern religion that people can join where they can legally take shrooms in the USA for religious purposes. I wonder how one would go about doing that. Since the native americans can do it with peyote other people should be able to do it within reason at least.

hell ya,
this country was founded so people could practise there religous faith in whatever form they choose. i definately consider mushrooms my spiritual practice as many of you do. it seems denying us this right violates are constitutional rights.
we need to turn some lawyers on and get are rights that were promised in the constitution given back to us. :laugh:

I was thinking of trying to get something like this going in Canada, I believe the biggest hurdle to go over would be gaining recognition as instead of a mushroom 'cult' it would be a mushroom 'church' - nevermind any connotations between the word church and the current status quo of churches in the world.

Cult's are 'bad' things, and being recognized as a 'church' gives it a sound of legitimacy, which would be in short supply given the current public stance on mushroom consumption.

I've come across this site, but I'm having trouble wading my way through it.

Shrooms may not cause your brain to bleed,thats a myth. They do however destroy your kidneys. After youve done shrooms about 30 times youll need a kidney transplant, I should know ive had 4 kidney replacements in the last year!!
