Think about it, if the white house had really support reinstating the ban, it would have been picked up by all the major news outlets and would have started a weeks long debate like the current health care debate.

bullshit, Fox News is the only major network to say anything
against obama in the elections, all the others pushed obama into
the white house, just how many reported on the obama birth

My biggest thing is this:

Cops have been shooting and killing completely unarmed, non-threatening people left and fucking right.
Maybe if everyone around them is packing heat they will think twice about being so fucking trigger happy.

That is the problem, I duno if it will make them think twice about being trigger happy, or if it will lead them to become even more trigger happy based on the fear of guns, either way, we shouldn't lose our right to bear arms, maybe it may work like mutually assured destruction. :shrug:

Actually they had the AK47.
I'm no weapons expert but from what I understand that was a huge advantage because of the terrain/environment.
