Can I use for my cakes following proportion
    #10844406 -

Can I use for my cakes following proportion:

1 / 4 cup of coco coir fiber
1 / 4 cup of brow rice flour
1 / 2 cup horticultural vermiculite
40 ml water

Can I expect better results :mushroom2:

Why are you mixing english and metric measurements?  Also, coir is a bulk substrate ingredient, so don't use it in cakes.  Follow the brf tek and you'll succeed.

i wouldnt think you would expect better results.

Bulk subs are less nuitritioius than the grains we use to spawn to bulk. Bulk is for bulk, it can be prepared easily, in large amounts and cheap so we can expand our mycelium to get more product.

In such a small amount its pointless.

Well, can I use coco coir fibers and vermiculite 50/50 after the dunk and roll for sprinkling on PF cakes ?

if you used coir in the roll process it will most likely contaminate.

If you're going to be making cakes, just do the PF tek like it's described.  I've seen people make poo cakes, but I don't know much about those at this point.

Look into RR's horse poo pictorial tek and follow it (pasteurize for 90 minutes though).  Once you have pasteurized poo, dice your cakes up into tiny bits and mix them together in a tray (get your substrate 3" deep, line with black garbage back to help avoid side pinning).  Let it colonize and then stick it into a shotgun FC.  The results are quite astonishing for as little time, money and effort that you put into it.  I say they should permanently include spawning to bulk with the PF tek method.  Takes only slightly longer than if you were doing just cakes and the yields are so much better.
