I just don't see the problem with it. People move around, and cultures change. Insisting that it stay the same just seems silly to me.

I think it's the way that we are dealing with it thats the problem. I live in Florida, so the majority of Hispanic immigrants are Cuban. Basically all they have to do is show up, and they are eligible for citizenship, however they have to pay a heft tax every year to maintain that status on top of the standard taxes that everyone pays. The vast majority of them learn the language, get good jobs, open businesses and integrate into the culture while also bringing a bit of their own culture along with them. I love it:shrug:

  And yes it is the peoples fault that take advantage of the system ,not the systems fault. I have never taken aid ,but have been broke homeless and starving.....I have never took unemployement ,when I more than qualified for it and could have used it....I made the choice to make do and get by on my own....is the system shitty...yes ,but that gives no free ride to the burden of self actions.

If you take advantage of something your the shitty person for doing it ,the excuse of it being the system relieves no one of thier responsibilty for thier own choices.1 kid is a accident ,7 kids is complete disregard for responsibility and should be punished,not rewarded with more money.

  Shitty system ...yes ,but people are still responsible for thier shitty choices and are accountable in my eyes......and alot of others that choose not to speak out.

The middle class is the recipient of a large number of subsidies and tax incentives, whether you realize it or not.  The benefits received are a lot less tangible, but the end result to the recipient is a lot more beneficial.

Sit back and think about it this way for a second.  We are the most wealthy nation on the planet, yes, we should be able to afford a decent living to all people via the system.  No, that's not how capitalism works.  We require a low-wage working class, and even sometimes one below that.  The only way to ensure that is to remove access to upwards mobility, and by making it easy to live on little money and to give incentive for a family to have a lot of kids, we are ensuring a generous supply of low wage workers who are content to live their lives miserably.

So whereas with no welfare, upwards mobility would be more desirable, which in the end would be more beneficial, we have constructed a system where we have workers that do nothing better than quasi slave labor.

Stop bitching about how the poor people have it so good, sheesh.

I am not bitching about how the poor people have it soo good and my gripe is the same as yours.......I am just not relieving people of personal responsibility over the system is the only difference.
I completly agree with what you have said and others.....only difference is who is to blame.

I completely agree with you on the way the system is set up to guide a certain outcome.
If it was easy ,everyone would doing it.....I had a choice and did not do it and those people have a choice,no matter what system is in place and I fully understand some people just can`t possibly think enuff to provide for themselves and need that aid.


And it`s only fair that those who make more ,pay more.......30 percent of some poor families wage that is 10,000 is a way more massive hit to being able to live  than 30 percent of some family that makes 500,000 dollars.

oh man.. you should have seen Glendale, CA on "Armenian Holocaust Remembrance day" or whatever the fuck. How come armenians are eligible for massive government aid because of some stupid genocide in their country 50 years ago but I can't even get my fucking teeth fixed. Immigrants have more benefits from our government than anyone born in the US it seems. My friend applied for a grant last week for something completely legitimate and the lady laughed at him straight up in his face and said he didnt have a chance because he was white.. if his last name was Mahasapeemehatia then he would probably have about a 90% chance.

I have no idea if its true but that's what I've heard. Basically their country had some kind of holocaust a long ass time ago so like half the population moved here, and they've been getting government kickbacks ever since.
