So I suggest you go to the documents on this site about different teks (techniques). If you bought a spore syringe from a popular place, it should be sterile, so you may be introducing contaminants while working with the petri dishes. A sterile environment seems to be the place where most beginners fail (including me). Also maybe investigate a "flow hood", or "glove box" whcih you can make yourself or buy.

Ringed-growth is known as "zonate" mycelial growth in the industry and is not normally associated with psilocybe cubensis. You should have cottony mycelium that soon radiates into rhizomorphic "ropey" growth within one to two Petri dishes of growing.

Zonate mycelium is typical of psilocybe mexicana which also forms sclerotia. It is also one of the most colorfull of mycelium putting out a rainbow of colors in the zones as each ring ages.

Yellow is a color associated with psilocybe cubensis when the media you are growing on is perhaps too "rich" by having a lot more nutrients than is required.

What is your agar recipie and concentrations?
Are you sure you ordered and recieved p.cubensis or did you get another species?

i made myself a inoculation box where i inoculated my petri dishes. there was no contarmination yet. only the rings.

my agar substrat :
50 g potato
4,5 g agar
6 g dextrose
i teaspoon "Bierhefe"
200ml water.

and i have had also steril petridishes from a labor with a good agarmix i think.

for my azurescens problem:
i have only one mycel and this is growing like cotton and white .but this is contarminated with green mold.i will try to rescue it and i think i will work with H2o2.

i also mad myself honey water and inoculated
it yesterday with p.c with about 0,2 ml.
the day before yesterday i boild it for about 1,5 hours.i hope this will work.

i also want to try this substrate :
120ml vermiculit
35ml brown rice flour
45ml water
1 knife CaSo4

can i use PERLITE instead of vermiculit because its impossible for me to get vermiculit.
