Is this an A. Muscaria var. Formosa?

I posted a thread a while back with a couple of mushrooms I suspected were Muscaria's. But they were too young, and people weren't 100% sure they were the right kind. But today I went out in my farm, and found a crap load of them, and I'm pretty sure these are amanita muscaria var. formosa. What do you guys think?

looks like it, found a nice patch of those today myself. im just a noob IDer though, so dont take my word for it. but obvious rings around it so thats a good sign i think.

Those are Amanita muscaria var. guessowii or what is now being called Amanita amerimuscaria (yellow form)

Be cautious to look for those rings at the bottom of the stem, that's the defining characteristic of A. muscaria. There are poisonous look alikes

I'm like 99% sure mine are Muscaria. But I'm still a little too paranoid to prepare and trip off of them. Any other opinions on these?

Southwest Virginia, it was growing in pine needles, under pine trees, on a horse farm. I thought I edited my first post to say that, but it didn't go through, sorry about that.

Alright, one of my friends who's kind of experienced with mushroom picking says he's 100% sure they're Muscaria var. Guessowii. So judging by all these replies, what my friend says, and my own research, I'm going to prepare and take a small dose tonight. If I don't post within a few days, don't worry, I'm probably just dead.

The best way is to dry them in the sun, the UV rays will help in converting the ibotenic acid into muscimol.

I like to use low doses as a natural tonic.
Show it respect, and it will show you its marvelous healing potential.

The mushroom is not deadly, unless you do something stupid under the influence of it.

Welp, I took two tablespoons last night, and so did my girlfriend, and now I'm pretty dang sure these are Muscaria. I took them at about 8:30pm, and got kind of nauseated, probably because I didn't dry them out fully. It made me feel like I needed to lay down, and If I laid perfectly still, the nausea would go away. My girlfriend fell asleep, and so did I, and I woke up having some pretty whacked out dreams. Every time I'd wake up, my shirt would be soaked from sweat, and my girlfriend was sweating a lot too. I bet these would be awesome to take in the winter.

I'm still pretty paranoid about taking them, since this is the first time I've ever eaten picked mushrooms, or any psychedelic mushroom at all. If I take these again, I'm gonna make a tea, and see if that helps with the nausea. Thanks for the help guys.

Oh, and I picked about 20 more of these today. Has been raining a lot here. Sorry, had to brag a little.

tea is totally not the way to go, peel the fresh skin off like it was a sticker and try eating that.

its the least nausea way fo sho.  tho when you expereinced with them nausea isnt a factor.

fresh is stronger fo sho tho
