Amanita muscaria var. formosa Id request
    #6144411 -

Found some amanita's that resemble Amanita muscaria var. formosa in a different location then my normal one. The warts on the mushroom appear to be smaller than any I have ever seen before and the mushroom was a slightly duller color than other Amanita muscaria var. formosa's I have found. Base looks slightly different also, could be because I had trouble digging it out of the ground, the ground was very hard and I was only using my fingers. Here is a pic of the mushrooms in question. Also what is the difference as far as potency between Amanita muscaria var. formosa & Amanita muscaria var. muscaria in the north east USA? Thanks in advance for any input on my post.

They look a little off to me jeverden.

The stem is key to identifying A. muscaria, and though there may be hints of rings around the base, they are are not obvious like these.

The stem color seems a little off too. There might be room for variation in appearance from region to region, but I can say for certain those do not look like the yellow A. muscaria i find in Ohio.
