Cooler temps will simply slow down colonization- you could grow in a 60degree house but upper 70s is best.  You increase the risk of contams catching hold at temps above 85F. ~Pixie~

above 83f mycellium stops growing.  keep things 69-75F for colonization.  Fruiting can be done anywhere between 65-95f.

Evolution is Lamarckism in disguise.  Adaptation never creates a new species or trait, but rather the new species/trait always existed within the parent DNA until circumstances allowed it to be activated.  For instance, every wolf has the DNA for poodles, but that DNA would never be revealed without man selectively breeding for it.

70 degrees
I fruit at 68 because it's colder in my house, but it works all the same.
But ideally, you would colonize at 80, then fruit at 70.
Remember, the drop in temperature isn't important for cubes-its FAE and, to a lesser extent, light
Good Luck!

Nothing to narrow, you can safely fruit anywhere in that range.  Temp on low end will give you thicker heavier fruits while temp on high end will make faster flush and some say even healthier fruits (= more potent).  Play around and discover.

My experience has been the lower temps give meatier fruits and better potency.  Shoot for normal room temp fruiting, because that's just about ideal.
