I HIGHLY suggest you purchase a copy of The Mushroom Cultivator By Paul Stamets.. available @http://www.fungi.com the book is VERY useful and most consider it their bible. It explains agar techniques very well along with many other aspects of growing..best $30 I ever spent.

fatguys got some tips in G&F section here. There is also other info in there. Both the mushroom cultivator and growing gourmet and medicinal mushrooms have plenty of info on the subject.------------------ -From a registered Mad Scientist "From a certain point of view" -Jedi Master Obiwan Kenobi (also a Mad Scientist tm)
-------------------- "From a certain point of view" -Jedi Master Obi Wan Kenobi PM me with any cultivation questions. I just looked at my profile and realized I had a website at one point in time on geocities, it's not there anymore and I have no idea what I had on it. Anybody remember my website from several years aga? PM if so please.

Try www.bookfinder.com. You can find new and used books for really cheap. I bought GGMM for like $20 through this site.I highly recommend using agar as well. And check this thread out, you may find some useful information in there. Definately give agar a try.
