I think I've decided that there is really no point in getting full blown drunk.

There's a certain point while drinking that you feel very euphoric and nice yet you're able to concentrate. I guess it's being really buzzed and I like that. After this point though everything becomes blurry and you lose too much control. I don't think I"m going to drink to get drunk anymore or at least for awhile. Hell, I just had two beers and I have a very nice light buzz that's perfect! Fuck hangovers and fuck waking up in the middle of your living room buck naked with electrical nipple clamps attached to your tits.

I think it depends who your drinking with. Its a buddies 21st tomorrow and we ordered 4 kegs and there is a 99% chance i'll end up passed out on the lawn and I will enjoy it.

No, it didn't blow my mind. However I think I've just come to the personal conclusion that alcohol doesn't make me any funnier, smarter, cooler or otherwise more fun to be with. Also, it's not worth waking up in the morning feeling like shit. I do however believe used moderately that it's fine and probably good for you too. I've also found from personal experience that alcohol stops being euphoric around the time it starts making you act like a total jackass.

I came upon this epiphany about 6 months back (shortly after my 21st birthday...haha) and my life has definitely improved since then. A buzz is all you need and way better than being balls-to-the-wall (or in your  passed-out, best friend's mouth for what at the time seemed like a hilarious photo to add to facebook, but was severely regretted the next morning) drunk. :gaycrankey:

Ya, I've had many an awkward day trying to explain things that happened trashed. I think part of wanting to drink more for me is that I always feel like I'm going to get more of the beautiful lucid social buzz that comes around when you start drinking if I drink more. Of course, that doesn't happen..

I've been feeling that way for a while now.
Alcohol gets old. I still love my booze, but I don't imbibe as much anymore.
I prefer to just toke :shrug:

I never really saw the point. I like getting a little drunk, but nothing too extreme. I pity people who have to go all out every time.

Ya but even with weed if you abuse it you'll get negative results. Of course I think the threshold for abusing weed is a lot higher. Still, you really shouldn't be smoking all day every day no matter what someone tells you.

tis very true. they both require moderation for sure. i enjoy weed soooo much more though because within an hour of smoking i am much more focused than an hour after a few drinks, additionally, no hangovers and I can drive anywhere baked as fuck

I love weed, I haven't smoked in awhile though. I'd say I can usually concentrate well on weed but it depends on the strain I think. I've had it with weed where I couldn't even form a coherent sentence and when asked by my friends what I just said had to do with I couldn't even remember what I was talking about.

That's when you know you're truly baked.

I never felt that way until I turned 21. Before I was of age, I would down fifths of hard liquor several times a week or more. I became an alcoholic, my immune system crashed, my skin turned yellow, and I went through life with reckless abandon. Nowadays I'm content to sip a few glasses of good wine or drink a few beers after a hard day's work every now and then.

My mom was an extreme alcoholic...watching her withdrawl...just not worth it to me.  I will stick with maryjane.

Of course...in moderation.....most of the time..:crazy2:
